Shame you cant buy this individually, god I wish I could... I can already tell weeks of mine are gonna be lost to this.
My thoughts exactly. I see what Ubi is doing here…
Having said that, I am more curious about this game than the other “new” one. Getting this (for the exclusives cuz I don’t have Vita and not sure my laptop has enough space anymore for the alt) would for the moment be the one and only reason for me getting Legends: Retold

You will be able to buy it separately, at least on PS5. For some reason this info is hidden away on the French version of the PS Blog post and isn't mentioned anywhere else - not even the English version of the same post. Maybe this wasn't supposed to be announced yet, or maybe things have changed and this info isn't up to date anymore? https://blog.fr.playstation.com/2026/06 ... e-sur-ps5/
Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition will also be available for standalone purchase on the PlayStation Store starting October 1st.
I would guess so, the Xbox store page for the game was the one that leaked the description and additions of the remastered version in the first place. I guess that it will shadow drop with Legends Retold on October 1st so you could either get the bundle of Legends Retold+Origins Enhanced or just Origins Enhanced. It's a tad weird that you can't get Legends Retold without Origins tho.
Good to hear that it'll be available separately. I still think getting Retold with Origins Enhanced is a steal price-wise, but more options are almost always better than less in my opinion.

Not sure why you'd want to, unless it was cheaper getting Retold separately. Again, I'd assume including Origins Enhanced is the devs' way of adding Back to Origins to the Legends remake, so it makes enough sense to have it bundled.
Yeah, you're right, I don't mind it, because I was going to get OEE either way, having it bundled with Retold is a great deal. But I can't help but wonder, if instead of just remaking Legends and remastering Origins, what if they actually remade both games, and make them one single experience? I guess that maybe Origins is not as compatible with the newer versions of the UbiArt framework, but I don't know, it could be a better way to relaunch the franchise. Remake both the UbiArt games and present them in a back similar to what SEGA did with the Sonic X Shadow Generations, maybe call them Rayman Retold Part I and Part II or smth. It could've being nice, although I love the fact that they felt Legends needed a more grounded and serious tone, whereas Origins still ends up with a disco party, a big explosion, and with the characters chilling in the exact same place without having learned nothing apart from the abilities acquired during the game. It's funny as shit.

Adding all those Origins levels to the game in the first place was a mistake. Makes the game feel much longer than it really was. If they're going to replace the Back to Origins levels in Retold with new content then this could be a good sign in my book. Still only have interest in the Origins Enhanced game so far but maybe within these next 4 months they'll change my mind about the other game (hm).

Mosaic Gallery – Also returning from the PS Vita version, relics can be used to unlock origin videos for Rayman and Globox in the Mosaic Gall
And up until reading this I had dared hope that the relics might be used for something more worthwhile in the remaster...
I missed this little piece of info, but this is cool! I was gonna complain about the Legends remake because it already exists on modern hardware, but bringing Origins forward and restoring lost content at the same time is actually a good step
The map has me wondering if they're adding content from all the games into the Legends remake. I don't know how they'd do it, but even just some new levels based on locations from 1, 2, and 3 would be very welcome

I don't think we'll be visiting all the locations on the map in Legends, but god yes any handful of them would be wonderful. From what I understand, this remake is their jumping off point to bringing story and lore back to Rayman, so it's possible we'll get to see these locations again in future games. I'm honestly excited for both the remake and the enhanced edition.
Thank you, Hunchman! Yes, it's been well over a decade. The excitement of Rayman getting love again made me want to check the place out. Things are going well, hope things are well with you too!
Things have been great, thanks! I can't say I'm overly excited about either a Legends remake (see my thoughts here in the Retold thread) or even this Origins remaster (although it will be great for anyone who wants to replay it), but at least I can appreciate the momentum it's bringing to the franchise... even if I'm not a fan of the direction they went for.
I totally understand your feelings on it. And honestly, I'm just happy we're getting this big a game for Rayman. Even if it is a remake and much of it doesn't make sense, I hope it does well enough to let the powers that be know we want more Rayman and we want more of this magical world and more cohesive lore while paying homage to what came before. I'm also super happy to hear everyone speak again with fun characterizations. A small thing, but I love it.
