Uuuuhh!!
Re: Rayman 1
I was in a selective class with 4th and 5th grade students in the same class... I ended up hating it. :\Holy Crap wrote:So you know, I'm in the top maths class in selective school (ie for smart kids) and have an IQ over 126. So, yes, I'm really smart.R4_121 wrote:*Starts laughing extremly loud*Holy Crap wrote:Yeah, but I never would've needed them, because I'm really smart.

My school is awesome, nobody really acts smart.

rofl
You know, oddly enough, Rayman 1's been the first platform game I've ever really played and beaten. :\ Now that I think about it. Because I've never really beaten Turican (C64 version) or Shadow of the Beast (C64 version) until I got a hit of nostalgia and played them again later on.

1st platformer you have beaten was R1? Congratulations, I know a lot of easier games...Phoenixan wrote:rofl

Re: Rayman 1
Use a walkthrough. Especially this from Rayman-fanpage.de. It is best for PS version I saw.Holy Crap wrote:I haven't even beaten it yet.
But remember! Jaggy version and DOS version has other levels. DOS one has got maps on this site, but I don't know any walkthrough for AJ...
I wrote last one in hope you use PT, no because you can have this rare crap.

Re: Rayman 1
It's not that i don't know how, I'm just not good enough.
Re: Rayman 1
I actually couldn't get past the second level of Picture City in the PSone version and had to use a password to get to the final level
I finished Rayman Advance though, but I needed a cheat to get the last cage which was at Eat at Joe's, and I couldn't find it, so I used a cheat instead.
EDIT: Just as an extra comment... Does anyone think that Rayman Advance was as good as Rayman 1 on PSone, PC, Jaguar, e.t.c.?

Re: Rayman 1
I think it was good for portable console. On the other hand, they have ported only 13 tunes (and added one), and poorest port of them became annoying after appearing in Band Land and 5 boss fights... Then, when in PS1 version I heard something that's listed in RT as 12... I was shocked.
But it was good. When talking on Jaguar version, it's so much different that it can be called beta. It isn't like Sonic 2 prototype B, but there are so many differences...

Re: Rayman 1
I think the gba version is much worse....easier, rubbish versions of the soundtracks and small screan compared to Rayman's size. If you know what i mean.Marley wrote: EDIT: Just as an extra comment... Does anyone think that Rayman Advance was as good as Rayman 1 on PSone, PC, Jaguar, e.t.c.?
Re: Rayman 1
Yeah, the graphics are just terrible when they are stretched. But fighting the bosses is dead easy and you can go through the game so much quicker.FAB wrote:I think the gba version is much worse....easier, rubbish versions of the soundtracks and small screan compared to Rayman's size. Re: Rayman 1
Does anybody like Rayman 1 GBC version? I sure do, it's my favorite out of all Rayman games. (No, I'm not kidding, or crazy)

Re: Rayman 1
I keep saying it and I'll say it again - Rayman Advance had the shittiest audio I've ever heard in a handheld, next to Pocket Music. Rayman 1 on the GBC was nice, but really easy and only had one boss, which was Mr Dark.
Re: Rayman 1
I can complete Rayman GBC in just a few hours...but I hate fighting bosses, so I thought fighting Mr.Dark at the end was nice, also it wasn't something you could complete in just a few seconds, like other GB/GBC games.StaceyW wrote:I keep saying it and I'll say it again - Rayman Advance had the shittiest audio I've ever heard in a handheld, next to Pocket Music. Re: Rayman 1
What is the best version of R1? The PC and PS1 versions were the same, right?
Re: Rayman 1
Completing the GBC version with 100% completion takes more than a few hours. The cages, the Dark Legacy stages, and the time attack add about 17 hours.
Re: Rayman 1
The PS1 version of Rayman 1 is now available for purchase on PS3's Playstation network.
Convince your friends with PS3s to buy/rebuy this game so Ubisoft will realize that people want another Rayman platformer.

You can download R1 PS1 version to PSP too, y'know.
But I don't know how to get my PS3 online, I have a USB modem, you see...
