Convince your friends with PS3s to buy/rebuy this game so Ubisoft will realize that people want another Rayman platformer.
But, to get back on topic, anyone know why Betilla wasn't anywhere to be seen while fighting Mr. Dark? Since he kidnapped her? (he shrunk her down and put her into a bottle, if I remember correctly.)
My version of Rayman's past:
The Magician was married to Betilla. Betilla met a guy called Mr Dark and had an affair with him. Polokus came to Betilla in a dream and told her what she was doing was wrong. She stopped the affair. She later found out that she was pregnant from Dark. She pretended to the Magician that he was the father. She had the child and called him Rayman. Polokus had tried to stop his creation, so he was not a creation of Polokus. That is why he is unique. As Rayman grew up, Mr Dark gradually became more and more evil. Dark, after finding out about Rayman's existence, kidnapped his son Rayman, and flew off with him. Betilla and the Magician flew after him. As they chased him, they flew over the Sea of Lums. They had a stand-off. Dark revealed to the Magician that Dark was Rayman's father. The Magician was furious and sent a violent and powerful spell at Mr Dark, catching him off-guard. Dark dropped Rayman and Rayman fell into the sea. Dark fled. The Magician and Betilla go home, thinking Rayman dead. They end their marriage because of her cheating years ago. Rayman actually survived and was found by fishermen, washed up on a beach. He had lost his memory when the spell the Magician used on Mr Dark hit him, too. The fishermen felt responsible for Rayman and built him a small hut on the beach. A lot of people were gossiping about the mysterious man that was found on the beach. Word reached Betilla and the Magician. They decide it's best not to contact Rayman and tell him the truth about his past. That changed when, years later, Mr Dark returned and stole the Protoon. The Magician and Betilla, knowing that Rayman is the son of Dark, know that Rayman is the only one who could ever defeat him. The Magician contacts Rayman and tells him about the Protoon and the Electoons and Dark's evil, and tells him to free the electoons, and bring back the Great Protoon from its mysterious kidnapper. Rayman agrees. Betilla(who he doesn't know is his mother) gives him powers to help him in his quest to defeat Mr Dark(who he doesn't know is his father). Betilla and the Magician did not tell Rayman of his parentage. Mr Dark saw his son Rayman as a failure, and did not hesitate to try and kill him. But Rayman defeated Mr Dark, recovered the Protoon and saved the day. All was peaceful. That is, until the Robo-Pirates came. But that is a story for another day...
