Re: Rayman 1
I googled "goatse". It seems to be some kind of "shock site", judging by the little extract from Wikipedia that came up. Though I will accept Stacey's advice and not try and find out more.

Re: Rayman 1
A little bad news to report.
I was in town today and read the latest issue of Retro Gamer, which had a review of Rayman 1 as a PS3 download; but they gave it a score 60%, mainly picking on the controls and playability. I can't remember what they exactly said, but to summarise they said that it hasn't stood the test of time as far as the gameplay is concerned. I know what some of you are gonna think, but don't rage.

....eh, I'm fine.
BTW, on ign, R1 GBC got a 9, while the original got a 7.5.

Re: Rayman 1
The same. Just like how all of the downloads on the VC are exactly the same as the original games.
Re: Rayman 1
Eh, not quite. VC games have minor changes......StaceyW wrote:Just like how all of the downloads on the VC are exactly the same as the original games.

Of course. But I meant the graphics, music and that.

That makes me feel very, very angry...StaceyW wrote:A little bad news to report.

R1 as a PS3 download is identical to R1 PS1, isn't it?
R1 PS1 gave Ubi the financial groundings to become a major games developing company.
R1 is also the bestselling PS1 game in the UK.
"Test of time" = Bullshit
So what if they change the controls? They're configurable...hey, wait a second, did they change the R1 controls for the PS3 download? And if so, what did they change?

Re: Rayman 1
I knew you'd get worked up over that. I did the same when I was your age, whenever I read a bad review for a Rayman game I used to CRY. Just remember that like the reviews you see on the internet, magazine reviews are just the opinions of one person [per game]. What matters most is what YOU think of a game.

Yes; but I was like, 14 back then. But as I grew up I found that it's more important to believe in yourself then some fat British guy.

I weren't joking.
And since I've never owned a PS3 and most likely won't own for for at least a few years [very happy with my wii <3], I have no idea!

Re: Rayman 1
Hey I just joined this forum.
Rayman 1 is so underrated. The bad reviews it gets are BS. And why the GBC version got 9/10 that's a lot of rubbish. The GBC game is nothing compared to the main Rayman 1 game. I think it's because the reviewer sucked at the game so he blamed it for being too difficult. Rayman GBC was too easy.
Rayman 1 ftw 10/10.

I AGREE WITH DINGODILE555 100%!!!!!
But I'd give R1 infinity out of minus infinity(the most ridiculously high score imagineable)!
