Re: Rayman 2
By the way, in The Sanctuary of Rock and Lava, when you jump on the turtle-shell like platforms, you can hear a Mini Jano sometimes, but you dont encounter one in that level.
Re: Rayman 2
Yeah, that's weird. I think that sanctuary is nearby a hidden secret cave, and there is a mini-jano guarding it.
By the way, i know why that emulator works slow, you need a graphics card with support for pixel- and vertex shader 2. You guys are right, PlayStation 2 is to young to emulate, the PlayStation 2 doesn't even have pixel- and vertex shader 2 -.-. But the computer still has the best range of Rayman games

Re: Rayman 2
The 60 GB model (which I have) is back-comp with PS2.
Re: Rayman 2
I wish that was for computers to, if you wan't to play Rayman 1 computer version you need to install dosBOX, with PlayStation 3 you just insert the disk and you can start playing right away ^^.

Re: Rayman 2
That's because PS3 knows this thing is PS1 disc, and this is PS2 disc, and this is PS3 disc. On Rayman CD, there is a Win32 installer, Win32 info and... a DOS game.Joshua822 wrote:I wish that was for computers to, if you wan't to play Rayman 1 computer version you need to install dosBOX, with PlayStation 3 you just insert the disk and you can start playing right away ^^.
Re: Rayman 2
PlyaStation 3 is backwards compatible. It's lame that the 40 GB model is not tough.
Re: Rayman 2
Thanks for the link for (and I quote) "The best PS2 Emulator Ever!", but the only links I could find were for plugins and not emulators.
Do you know why that is?

Re: Rayman 2
Because PlayStation 2 is a brand new console, and the emulator still need's improvement.
Here are some screenshot's i took while emulating Rayman games on other platforms :

Re: Rayman 2
Does project 64 actually display the graphics correctly now?
Re: Rayman 2
Most of the time the graphics are fine. Sometimes you''re shots are black and the lums are white or black. And the game doesn't become laggy anymore since version 1.6.
Re: Rayman 2
I actually just turn "force alpha blending" on, and it works fine. Then you can see a few glowing objects (like lums) through the walls, but then it's fine.
Re: Rayman 2
Or just use Rice's graphics plugin, which works perfectly. You can also use it to change the textures, by the way. ^^
Re: Rayman 2
I once changed the textures in Mario 64 with that ^^.
And droolie, is that "the real Rayman 2" video from you from the bonus level in the PlayStation 1 version ?

Re: Rayman 2
Yes, that video is mine, and it is from the bonus level at the end of the PS1 version.

Re: Rayman 2
Ahhh.. sorry for disturbing, but you mean you can't change them once forever (for this ROM)?Drolpiraat wrote:Or just use Rice's graphics plugin, which works perfectly. You can also use it to change the textures, by the way. ^^

Re: Rayman 2
I think the Shadow Caterpillar enemies in Rayman 2 are cameos/references of the Black Boes from Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask, since they look and attack identically.
Re: Rayman 2
I never noticed that but i thin you're right ^^.

Re: Rayman 2
I didn't saw them, but I don't think so, a reference to N-only game on N64, PC, PS1, DC and PS2?!Henchman1028 wrote:I think the Shadow Caterpillar enemies in Rayman 2 are cameos/references of the Black Boes from Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask, since they look and attack identically.
EDIT: Misspelling.
