Re: Why did you pick your username?
No thanks, I'm really not that bothered.
Besides, I doubt you'd be able to make a correct one. The white strips have different thicknesses so it would be extremely hard.

The union jack sucks.
Re: Why did you pick your username?
I like it, but it's really hard to draw. I can never get it quite right.

Re: Why did you pick your username?
This is a long one...let's see if I can shorten it.
Years ago, I created an internet name: Luckilina. I just wanted something really original and something you wouldn't find in any baby book in the world, not matter how you tried. I wanted to especially use the word 'luck' in the name because of my funny encounters with both the good and the bad sort of luck. I used the name for IMing, emailing, and even web pages before I discovered the wonders of Deviantart. It was my primary nickname all over the web.
Eventually I made a character based on the name. Human at first, but I transformed her into an anthromorphic Kybuii because I was really into Japanese legends and lore at the time. When I did become a member of Deviantart, I used Luckilina as my user name.
Eventually it became a problem, cause myself and the character were different, and I'm one of those people who likes to Role Play my characters through chats of any form, so there was a lot of confusion.
One night I was chatting with something I really look up to, a singer who was once part of a Canadian animated band, and he was teasing me a bit and called me Luckster out of the blue. I think he couldn't remember how to spell the actual name, so he improvised.
There were other people in the chat, some from school, and ever since that day in the chatroom, I was called Luckster amongst my closest fellow Geeks in school from Middle School to today.
Again, I made a character with the name, originally nothing more than a cartoon version of myself in which I can exaggerate my frustrations with, explaining why the character has such a hot temper. Her hair was purple cause I always wanted to dye my hair growing up, but was never allowed. Why not do the things you can't do in real life with a cartoon character?
She became well known through random drawings, fanart with me interacting with characters I adore so much, the classic 0wn3d comic series in high school, and of course Rayman: Human Flaws.
Between my high school comic strips and Human Flaws, I noticed a few problems with confusion between me and the character again. I didn't want to abandon another nickname just to ignore confusion, so I made a second Luckster. Real Luckster, as she's always labeled in my image descriptions. That way, I can still be called Luckster, and the character can be known for my original and fan-fiction works, as well as my own personal comics based exactly on my life as she was originally designed for.
I've had the nickname Luckster for 7 years now and I'm happy to have it. Such a nice history behind the name, isn't it?
Or did I ramble too much?

Re: Why did you pick your username?
I coulda just shortened it by saying "My favorite singer called me Luckster in front of my friends in a chat room" but that would be boring. 8B

Re: Why did you pick your username?
But
is a PC smiley. You can take over DA.
Re: Why did you pick your username?
PC may use it if they want to though. My emoticon isn't even used in dA nor in the forum it was made for, so why not PC use it? :3

Re: Why did you pick your username?
I switched accounts after a while, and Luckster was taken. The name Elemente is the name of an old character that never truly came to be, so I went with that to avoid putting numbers and stuff in my DA name.Acarr wrote:@luckster: But your username is elemente?
