Definitely not. It basically adds an extra step to a wired connection: the router is wired, then has to send the information to the adapter through the air, and it is a lot slower. I don't have wireless-N yet (just wireless-G), though wireless is still slower and has a greater chance for packet loss--particularly bad for a gamer like myself. Because the Wii doesn't need many bandwith. Anyway, i use a cable connection. From what i now it's faster and more stable. And that's how i like my internet
