Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I'm speaking from retrospect, but part 3 isn't actually as hard as you make it out to be. When I first played the part I divided it into two sections, before the second Hoodblaster and after it. That made it easier. After I had mastered both of these, I tried to connect them together, and after some graft it worked. The only problem for me was the second Muddibog, who needed to be shot from behind.
What console do you play on, by the way? I believe the triple Razoff glitch occurs more frequently for PS2 players and less frequently for Xbox, PC and GameCube players.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I never encountered it on the Gamecube. But since I'm not entirely sure what it is, I may have missed it...
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
One question. In CF Part 2, at the beginnig, usually i will play this combo: I collect the 3 yellow gems at this stupid bird (i hope, you understand), then i jump down, open the slapdash, collect the 3 yellow gems and the red gem, run to the other slapdashes, collect them all, kill the three hoodgarde, run to the 4 gems at the door, collect them, collect all the slapdashes at the other side, kill the hoodgarde, get the lockjaw, and zoom at the matuvu. Now, my problem is: I will never get the matuvu in this combo, I lose to much time. My question is: Do you have an alternative for this, where I can get the matuvu with the lockjaw (NO, I DON'T NEED THIS HORRIBLE COMBO WITH THE BLUE LOCKJAW!!!)? Or do you have a hint, how I can get faster to the matuvu? Thanks for everything.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Hello and welcome to this forum. It's a fine combo you describe there. And I think it's the best combo you can make if you don't want to get into the messy things with the (blue) Lockjaw and all. It's been a long time since I have tried to get the Matuvu with the Vortex (green) after the fourth Hoodblaster. As far as I recall, you have to be really fast when you have got the Vortex. You need to roll off the edge to the level below and then run very fast to the place where you are just able to zoom in on the Matuvu. I'm sure it will take some practise to find it. It should be possible though. Good luck!
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I've got an self-made combo too. With it, you won't get the Matuvu with the lockjaw, but it brings 6000 Points total (Combo: 4160). So it works: Go to the 4 gems at the door, collect them, then all the slapdashes and kill the Hoodgarde (at 15th
)
Then run to the 3 gems at the bird, collect them, open the slapdash under them, collect the yellow and the red gem. Now run to the Slapdashes at the gates, collect them all and look at the Hoodgarde. Collect slowly the gems, load a fist, and run to the Hoodgarde, he must run to your fist, and then you will win time. Now kill the last Hoodgarde and go to the Mushroom. Load a fist, jump up, when the Hoodgarde comes and kill him, now run to the Matuvu and get him for 1250 Points in Combo. With this, and some other combos I can get 40000 after part 2. It can be enough for 104500, because I'm a master at part 3, and I will finish it everytime with around 83000. When I will be good at Kaag, it must be enough. But one question: How can I get the first Matuvu at part 3 in combo with the Hoodbomber? The combo is allready over, when the video ends. So I do everytime the Matuvu-Trick at the slapdashes, to get him for 500 (
) in combo.
Greets, Cut.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
The great thing about the first room in CF part 2 is that one can make so many different, and interesting, combos. Seems you have found two very interesting ones.
I have never had any difficulty in getting the Matuvu in part 3 in combo after the Hoodboom. After killing the second Hoodblaster, there is a short cinematic where you see the Hoodboom enter the scene. Quickly run towards the corner and kill the Slapdash (the one who shoots his fist at you). You now have the Shock Rocket. Fire at the Hoodboom and quickly zoom in on the Matuvu across the arena. Be careful you stand in the right place when you do so.
May I ask, on what platform do you play R3?

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I am playing at my PC, when I would am a platformer, I would have 104500 at the HH^^
But when you look at my scores, then I think my first maximum I will have at the DOK or at HH.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Dang i rly need to try these combo's
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Well, it would be quite an achievement if HH was to be the first level where you reach the maximum score. Usually players complete HH with max. score after they have reached it in DOTK, LOTLD, CF and TOTL.Cut wrote:I am playing at my PC, when I would am a platformer, I would have 104500 at the HH^^

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I'm on holidays, so I can't play at the moment. But at home, I am playing the CF for 104500. For 770000, I want to get the following scores:
FC: 35000 - This would be easy, I must only use some easy things, like the dwarf-combo, and the rest isn't important.
CF: 104500 - I will playing this, and perhaps at 800000 I will play it again for 109000, but now it isn't as important as for other people
BOM: 70000 - Triple Razoff-Bug, and I made it... ...I hope^^
TLOTLD: 111000 - Some things better at Part 1 and 2, and I've got it. This isn't so difficult.
TDOTK: 109749 - With the Knaaren-Bug, I will made it... ...like at BOM I hope! But this won't be as difficult as somebody else perhaps will think
LA: I've got 41980 there, what do want more?
SBTC: 100000 - Snowboardtrick...
HH: 100000 - Last playing this, I made only one mistake with the Tribelle in part 3, if i didn't do this, I would have 100000 at the moment. So my real love won't make problems
TTOL: 100000 - When I will play the first hoodlum combo perfect, I will have it.
TOTAL SCORE: around 770000!
FC: 35000 - This would be easy, I must only use some easy things, like the dwarf-combo, and the rest isn't important.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Things really started getting tough for me when I passed the 750k marker.
But you managed that combo with the Matuvu included? If so I take my hat off to you.
At the time only DTUCC, Jona and myself had mastered the combo. It was made a while ago, see.Cut wrote:EDIT: Watch this video and reat the information about it, from Xenon! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC0921Gz ... re=channel

Actually, I found Clearleaf Forest a lot harder than Hoodlum Headquarters. The irritancy of achieving (or multi-achieving because the following combos are difficult) the piggy-bank glitch really separates men from boys. Plus there's part 4, which is also quite an angering part.MandM81 wrote:Well, it would be quite an achievement if HH was to be the first level where you reach the maximum score. Re: Rayman 3 Scores
True, CF has become a hard level. I was thinking back at the happy, carefree days when the max. score for CF was around 105.000 achieved with the green gem. I seem to remember I got the "max." scores for the forementioned levels in this order: DOTK, CF or LOTLD, TOTL, HH, BOM. I think it would be cool if one gets HH as the first max. score level.Xenon wrote:Actually, I found Clearleaf Forest a lot harder than Hoodlum Headquarters. Re: Rayman 3 Scores
The renouned warehouse combo in part 1 HH is pretty tough though, I'll have to admit that. And the preceding green gem combo is pretty difficult too, no matter which approach you choose to use. Other than that, I found HH to be a fairly easy level, with the exception of one combo in part 2.
If my memory serves me correct, my order was: TDOTK, TLOTLD, TTOTL, HH, CF.
As soon as I achieved the maximum score for TDOTK the incentive to improve further rocketed.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
HH part 1 is quite hard indeed. I think one has to do either the Hoodblaster-Grim Keeper-Lums-Matuvu-Green Gem Combo or the Warehouse Combo to be able to reach 25.000+ points. I have always opted for the latter, even though it requires a plethora of restarts.
Part 2 is not that difficult anymore, at least not if you exploit the Lums glitch to the fullest in the first combo in room 1. If you play on PC, it's a different matter I guess. Maybe one has to do the Heckler Combo? If so, part 2 is definitely back on the hard-to-do list. Have you ever made this combo work? I haven't.
Part 3 is of medium difficulty. There are one or two combos that are challenging.
Anyway, I have finally made a walkthrough for HH. I will post it later on page 1.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I think, in order to reach 25000 in part 1 you need to handle both combos. I remember nailing the green gem combo and making fair points with the warehouse combo, yet only getting 23500. But then I did have some problems with climbing the crates and killing Hoodlums in sufficient time, so maybe this fair run of points wasn't so fair.
For part 2, I found the combo involving the Tribelle to be the hardest, primarily because of the Hoodoo shield. It's a pretty simple combo to perform though, so I don't see why it costed me so much time and effort to excel in it. To answer your question, I could do the combo in the first room regularly, but could never include the Heckler. I don't think his shield remains airborne long enough for three consecutive shots. As far as I'm concerned it's not essential for a decent score after the part... though you would have to play the rest of the level almost perfectly.
Part 3 is my kind of level.
It's not too tough, but it sets a nice, manageable challenge and has many fun-to-do combos that are diverse and original. Similar to part 4 TBOM, really. Amazing fun.

I did so!Xenon wrote:At the time only DTUCC, Jona and myself had mastered the combo. It was made a while ago, see.

My big problem in the first part is the Warehouse-Combo, I will never made it. Because, if I'm falling fast, I will land at the ground, and the combo will be over xD And If I fall slowly, I will hit the Hoodgarde 1, but then, I won't reach the gems, or the lockjaw is over at the Hoodgarde 3, and I will lost 750 points. But normaly I will have 20000 at this part.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I have posted a walkthrough including videos for HH on page 1 in this thread. All levels are now covered and at some point I will update those walkthroughs that need updating.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Right then, I feel it's about time I started replaying the game. I feel like squeezing a further 1000 or so points from TFC.
Cue hours of Murfy-filled enjoyment. -_-

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Yeah, FC is a hard nut to crack. I can give you a few hints though. Remember that every action wins you points. Let meee demonstrate. Eye on the counter. Whenever you score points, the indicator appears and you switch to combo mode. This is when things get really cool. In combo mode your actions are worth even more points. But you gotta act fast, your scoring stops, the combo mode stops. One last thing, points can buy you access to hidden levels, so try to score big.
