Yeah; basically it's fun to beat your own highscore. And exceeding the 'maximum' is one of the most satisfying feelings...

I'll have to take your word for that, about R3 scores.Xenon wrote:Yeah; basically it's fun to beat your own highscore. And exceeding the 'maximum' is one of the most satisfying feelings...

I've been thinking about a point system that rewards you with stuff like more powerful punches, higher jumps, faster running etc.

Re: What do you want in Rayman 4?
How about a maximum score which is both difficult to achieve and required in order to reach 100% completion, BUT is possible to exceed?
Re: What do you want in Rayman 4?
That's already been done in revolution.El Dango wrote:I've been thinking about a point system that rewards you with stuff like more powerful punches, higher jumps, faster running etc.

Still, great idea.
Totally off topic, isn't it Danmark and not Denmark, El Dango?

Or on a harddrive.Acarr wrote:I'd like Rayman 4 to be on a Blu-ray disc so then it'll be much faster, better quality and so much more bigger. ^^

Re: What do you want in Rayman 4?
I can imagine the ammount of complaints Ubi would get if they called it Rayman 5.

Re: What do you want in Rayman 4?
That would imply that RRR1 was Rayman 4, and therefore canon. Not cool. We'd have to try and shoehorn RRR1 GBA or R:HR into the canon series, in between R3 and R5, thus making it into R4, in order to at least partially avert such a catastrophe.Acarr wrote:I can imagine the ammount of complaints Ubi would get if they called it Rayman 5.

Are you saying that Hoodlum's Revenge wasn't canon?spiraldoor wrote:That would imply that RRR1 was Rayman 4, and therefore canon. Not cool. Re: What do you want in Rayman 4?
It was only ever released for handheld. Rayman handheld games aren't usually considered canon.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:Are you saying that Hoodlum's Revenge wasn't canon?spiraldoor wrote:That would imply that RRR1 was Rayman 4, and therefore canon. Those handheld games weren't particularly good.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:Well, why not?!PluMGMK wrote:It was only ever released for handheld. I don't see why any Rayman fan would even want to believe that.

I would consider RHR canon actually.spiraldoor wrote:Those handheld games weren't particularly good.
But Hunch did once say that quadruple-quoting was a bannable offence.

He said it in the "Pirate-Community" topic. I found it while I was looking for the conversation about you being banned.spiraldoor wrote:Tell me when and why he said that.

Re: What do you want in Rayman 4?
My knowledge of the handheld games is somewhat lacking, but I think RHR continues from R3GBA, so I wouldn't say either of those are canon.

No, it continues from the console versions, which must be very confusing for people who only have GBA versions.Holy Crap wrote:My knowledge of the handheld games is somewhat lacking, but I think RHR continues from R3GBA, so I wouldn't say either of those are canon.

Re: What do you want in Rayman 4?
Yes, Hoodlum's Revenge is a sequel to Hoodlums Havoc for the GBA. But Hoodlums Havoc for the GBA of course isn't canon.
In Hoodlums Havoc, Razorbeard plans to use the black lums to take over the world, and Globox of course swallos one. You don't have to go to doctors or anything, it's only mentioned in the first and last 'movie' of the game. Yoru main enemies are robot pirates, and only in a (very) few levels, black lums or Hoodlums appear.
In Hoodlums Revenge, the black lum (revealed to be André) which was inside Globox left a part of its spirit or something inside Globox and Globox slowly turns evil. Eventually, in the level Pit of Endless Fire, the spirit completely takes over Globox and goes away to resurrect Reflux (actually, to clone him, but that is explained all very vague in the game).
