I could explain why I used those examples, but I won't get started.

Toyotas are amongst the safest cars though :|
As are several other Japanese car companies, but to my opinion Toyota is fundamentally the shittiest car manufacturer. :P

Well from a technological point of view they're quite awesome though.

They may be technological with their electrical jazz, but "awesome" and "Toyota" seem rather oxymoronic.

What is an awesome car if not a technologically perfect one then?

Personally, I wouldn't choose to buy a car because it's powered by electricity. I would base my decision on other factors, namely looks, reliability, value, economy and power.

Also what is 'technologically perfect'?

I'm not even talking about electric cars, it's just that Toyota make very reliable cars in general.

Which of these does Toyota fail at? :?

I admit the word perfect is too strong here, but I meant something like, "uses the modern technologies optimally" which does include all the factors you listed except the 'looks', as that is subjective.

I'm sure they do, but by no means does that make their cars awesome, in my opinion.

Well looks, and arguably value.

Most manufacturers do though; this is the 21st century. That doesn't make them all spectacular.

This whole thing makes me wonder if we have a topic about cars somewhere here. I haven't seen one yet, but maybe there is a very old one?

About Toyotas: I drive an Avensis, a diesel no less, and I have to say that it's by far the most boring car that exists. That's why I won't get a Toyota when I've finished my education and my ass is full of cash.

Toyota seems more reliable for a family car.

Considering my family has 2 Toyotas.
