Ok, guys, as you may have gathered I'm hosting the next game. Do you have any suggestions for improvements that can be made. Any roles that you would like to see in the game? Any roles that should have more or less power than before? Feel free to make suggestions during the coming days. I will start the sign-ups on thursday or friday, and the game will start about a week after that, when I get home from England.

I would like a neutral role. Not more powerful or too weak.

Well you said the game was too easy; maybe you could try nerfing the mafia powers a bit? Or perhaps add another powerful role to the village, like one-time resurrector or something.
It's hard to get the balance right, I thought the village had enough powers to win the game...

That's not the point.
I've been wondering wether Robespierre's role was too powerful or not, but as the other mafiosos powers were much weaker, I don't think that was a problem.
Matyuv : they had, but they didn't use them. I think the balance was ok.

Con Artist (Robespierre) is a very fun role. It should be in the next game too for sure!
I'm gonna calculate the tings now..

The con artist role is indeed a very powerful one. I'm thinking of limiting his power to persuade a villager to vote as he wishes, though. I think he should only be able to use this once during the entire game.

@Rayman3390: The draw will be done completely at random, so we could in theory end up with exactly the same mafia as last time.

Once ? Three times would be better... but that should be decided considering the number of players.

Three times would be a bit too much if we have the same amount of players as last time. I'm thinking one use for every 7th player, rounding upwards. Or possibly just one, because it would encourage the Con Artist to explore the rest of his night actions more thoroughly, something neither I nor you did when we had the role.

Thanks for the tings and I think the next mafia game will go better than the last one.

Better for the village, I presume, because it couldn't have gone much better for the Mafia?

Who knows? I'd hate for the mafia to win twice since the game improved unless I'm one of them.

Yeah Tobbe, the persuader role I gave you in the first game, as well as Robespierre, had way too much power, and had a large variety of them, this is actually abnormal. I thought the village might be too powerful in the first one since I gave them several roles to kind of inspect. So yeah, tone him down to just power, which also helps in that you can give the other roles to different players.

That's all for now.

We gave very powerful roles to the village in the last game, but it apparently wasn't enough because of how badly they played :P

Exactly, we are dealing with a balance of power here. We can't lets either side have to much power. Because they will affect the outcome of the game.
