The reason I did this is quite simple : the differences in votes in QF1 and QF3 were important, so I haven't even thought of making the seconds in those groups progress to the next round. And I also thought it was quite exciting that way.

Well if I'm not mistaken the number of votes in favour of tied competitors was very close to that in favour of the #2 who were eliminated, making it hard to justify your position
