Re: Rayman Origins
The gendoors were fun, though I find it unlikely Origins will have them.

Me too. We haven't seen anything yet so what's the chance of seeing it later?

Re: Rayman Origins
Gendoors + multiplayer = craziness, unfortunately.
Re: Rayman Origins
I am playing mostly Single Player anyway.

Am I the only one to hate Gendoors

Re: Rayman Origins
And do you think that blue and purple Lums will appear? I saw a Lum you could use like a purple lum in the trailer but it was blue O_o

Or sometimes there's this tiny little sparkling on the edge of a cliff - when you hang over the cliff, plop, gendoor.Haruka wrote:I remember the first time I was trying to pass Rayman 1. When I had to find a hidden cage I really had to check everywhere and jump everywhere in the screen to see if I could find a Gendoor.
Anyway, I think RO will be absolutely hilarious and fun with or without gendoors, although they would add to the overall craziness if they were included.
Re: Rayman Origins
I think I will love Rayman Origins. But I feel like they took too much inspiration of DKCR with the cage locations.

Re: Rayman Origins
I thought the sparkling Gendoors were extremely rare in most versions of the game. Aren’t they almost always invisible, except in Rayman Advance?Shrooblord wrote:Or sometimes there's this tiny little sparkling on the edge of a cliff - when you hang over the cliff, plop, gendoor.Haruka wrote:I remember the first time I was trying to pass Rayman 1. The cage locations remind me of Oddworld, and I love it.RaymanPS1 wrote:I think I will love Rayman Origins. But I feel like they took too much inspiration of DKCR with the cage locations.

They are more common in the PC version of Rayman 1.spiraldoor wrote:I thought the sparkling Gendoors were extremely rare in most versions of the game. Aren’t they almost always invisible, except in Rayman Advance?
Like the very hidden areas with dropping sand bits almost unoticible? The cage locations remind me of Oddworld, and I love it.

Re: Rayman Origins
Using gendoors with multiplayer would just be annoying, just imagine when a partner accidentally activates a gendoor and then one of those Darktoons appear in the same place where you are and hurts you unfairily.
Oh, and come on, do you guys really believe that each console has different kinds of teensies? that's ridiculous and pointless! There are like 6 playable characters (Rayman, Globox, Orange Teensie, Black Teensie, Blue Teensie), maybe they are just unlockable characters to give the players more options (like castle crashers).

Re: Rayman Origins
Why? Do you think that similar elements in games within the same genre is inherently bad? Or do you have some more specific problem with the cage areas?RaymanPS1 wrote:I do not!spiraldoor wrote:The cage locations remind me of Oddworld, and I love it.RaymanPS1 wrote:I think I will love Rayman Origins. Exactly – they’re integrated into the levels in the very same way (the character walks straight off the 2D plane, into a dark doorway and steps out on the other side), and these areas even have the same function within the games (you have to defeat the area’s enemies and rescue their prisoners).Haruka wrote:Like the very hidden areas with dropping sand bits almost unoticible?spiraldoor wrote:The cage locations remind me of Oddworld, and I love it.
Re: Rayman Origins
Something tells me it won't be a piece of cake finding every cage at once. Probably some will break their heads by frustration of not finding a cage. I might be wrong too, but we'll see when RO comes out.

MAN I AM SO FUCKING PUMPED! I just realized ezio from assasins creed makes a SMALL appearance in it, as well as a rabbid.
Re: Rayman Origins
What, when? The only time I saw this was in that showcase/demo at E3

Oh
I don't think it will be in the game, this was probably just a showcase and ''woo anniversary or w/e'' thing.
Was nice to see Jade there.
