Thanks guys! It's not like we can fully trust journalists when it comes to names anyway.

Each ability is used in unique ways, sometimes to solve simple puzzles or to perform daring feats of platforming agility.
I find it unclear whether those are levels or worlds, what do you guys think?

I think that: Those anmes are worlds. Each time you finish a world with every skull coins, then you can chase a chest and when you reach him, you'll free a fairy (presumably always Betilla) and then she will give you a new power. But I wonder if it'll be like in Rayman 1 when she took you to a simple plain level with a thing you'll have to pass using your new power...

I agree with you, friend, but note that fairies aren't chased in chests but Darktoons, so you don't need to get all the Medallions, just finish the world probably, while the chests are after the Skull Medallions.

The new article seems to refer to the final level (which was previously called the Land of the Dead) as the Land of the Livid Dead. Maybe that’s why Globox was expecting a scary place filled with terrifying monsters in Rayman 3. Or perhaps the person who wrote up the article made a mistake.

Mr Dark is visible in one of the bubbles in the trailer. He’s a smiling, grey-haired Teensy wearing a dark blue cloak.

The dragon-belly levels could be located in the mountain world, or maybe even the food world.

I think the worlds are too much like Rayman 1.They have almost the same themes: Forest,Food,Mountains and Picture were already in the first game but food was in a different style, remaining only the desert world as the only original world

That's probably the case:
Gamespot wrote:Trickier still was a level called Don't Burn Dinner, which was set within the Gourmand Lands, featuring deadly knife-throwing chefs and an abundance of cocktail wieners.
By the way, where does it say that 'Catch Me If You Can' is a music/desert level? I haven't had time to read all the articles thoroughly.

Mhm, I have a small theory related to this.

Polokus can change his appearence, from a rock to a tree to his ''regular'' form, but in Rayman 2 he's different. This may be due to him sleeping through most of R2, so he basically changed his form again, then went to sleep without the pipe, because I don't really commonly see people smoke while they sleep :)
And after he was awaken, he just didn't have time to change form again or get the pipe, so he awaited until Rayman defeats the pirates.

Oh no, not again. Just because a character wears dark clothes doesn't mean it's mr dark!!! first the teensy with the top hat, and now the intellectual-like teensy? guys, just face it, mr dark doesn't even appear to have any relation to the main story.

Anyway, I really loved the animation in the new trailer, and the humor is so amazing, I can't stop laughing!! It's great how the granny screams and gets mad and randomly throws her husband's head XD

Oh, one last thing... I TOLD YOU GUYS!!! the teensy costumes are unlockables!!! woooh!! it was more probable for the game to have unlockable characters than than weird mechanism that you just invented about the console-exclusive characters.

@Hunch, I also think it isn't clear. Both are highly possible. I would love them to be the names of the worlds, but I'm afraid it's more possible that they are levels.

@TK, according to the articles, these two things are separate. Here's a list of all the collectibles-

• Lums: Currency. With them you can purchase upgrades and get into challenge levels where you have to do complex acrobatic moves.
• Death Medallions: Unlock Chest Levels which in turn unlock the Land of the Dead once all levels are completed.
• Cages/Electoons: Every time you fill a medallion with these, the Bubble Dreamer will give you a skin for one of the characters.
• Betilla: In every level she appears, your goal is to catch her and she will grant you a power.

The first three collectibles appear in every level more than once, and the last collectible has certain levels where it is the goal.
Hunch, can I have permission to put this list in the wiki? I think I did a pretty good job :hehe: .

Edit:

I think the Land of the Livid Dead stuff is just a mistake.
The dragon belly levels can't occur before the mountain world, which is the world where Rayman unlocks the ability to walk on walls. BTW, Globox runs on a wall in the beginning of the E3 showcase. Did anyone else notice that? It's makes me wonder if this is a mountain/picture level, or if this is just because they got that power for that exact trick...

On the ice level, I love those forks with faces. Just like the spoons and forks in Candy Chateau! :D

Also, I think the infernal kitchen is partly inspired by some of the Cave of Skops levels - the backgrounds, lava and textures are all very similar.
And the lava/hot sauce looks exactly like the lava in the boss battle with Skops.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Rabbids are more into toilet humor, with their burps, plungers, farts and spittings. Rayman Origins' humor is more related to Hanna Barbera, or Warner bros, with tons of graphic humor, funny expresions, smacks and slaps.

WHEN DID THE RABBIDS FART?! I DEMAND TO KNOW!!!!! BTW, WB humour isn't much better. RO is different. It's not actually humour, I mean it's not funny. The only time I laughed when I saw RO stuff was when Rayman blew air up Betilla's skirt. :fou2: This reminds me: Do we have any official source calling her Betilla? I'm not questioning her being Betilla, but maybe they renamed her, like Polokus.

Both are the same Teensy actually.
Unfortunately I have YET ANOTHER theory
The Granny seems to rule the Darktoons and Psychlops, and somehow they infect the dark Teensy with dark energy so he becomes bad (or he draws inspiration from the Granny gang  ) and then tries to rule them but doesn't seem to be succesful, yet in the next game he's much, much more powerful.
