Re: Rayman Origins
If someone really wants to reveal key elements of the plot, they won't use spoiler tags, which will be of no use in that case. So, we'll just forbid spoilers everywhere but in the Rayman Origins topic. Or, if you guys really want a spoiler tag, why not use the background colours of the messages instead: alternately #12160F and #171B14 (#1E2418 for quotes)? Of course real spoiler tags wouldn't be hard to implement, but I just really don't see the point.

Re: Rayman Origins
I seriously don't care. Ruin it all for me, the only thing I would even slightly care about is the Magician/Mr Dark thing. There was only one game that I ever cared about not knowing its story before it was time: Braid. It has such a deep story, it could be a book.

The spoiler tags are very useful. There are many points. You can upload an enornous image and put it in a spoiler tag so you don't bother the other users and if someone wanna see it,the user just has to click a button, and you won't have to go out of the forum to see it,which could be a great advantage in slow PCs.Too,you can for example say: "This spoiler contains information about X cutscene.Don't open if you don't want to mess the suspense" or just you should implement them because this is the first forum with no spoiler tag I've ever seen, and the RPC community has to be fantastic! And there's no fantastic forums with no spoiler tag...Hunchman801 wrote:If someone really wants to reveal key elements of the plot, they won't use spoiler tags, which will be of no use in that case. Re: Rayman Origins
I theorised that the Magician was Mr Dark years ago, though I don’t think I ever posted it here. It’s not really surprising that we came up with the same idea independently, because there is a surprising amount of evidence for it. The only part of Mr Dark we actually see are his eyes, and we never see those of the Magician. We never see Mr Dark’s hair, so it could be blonde. We hear the Magician’s voice plenty, but never really hear Mr Dark’s. They both wear blue clothes and they both have top hats. They have the same pointy blue shoes. They never appear at the same time (at least not in any game that matters). I figured that maybe he sent Rayman to Candy Château (and helped him along the way) so he could steal his telescopic fist or something. I also toyed with the idea that the enemies in the game were actually trying to kill Rayman to stop him from fulfilling Mr Dark/the Magician’s machinations, but that one’s kind of stupid.Drolpiraat wrote:Anyway it was based off the fact that the magician never shows his eyes (they might just be yellow!), he always plays with Rayman as if he didn't have anything better to do, he seems to be everywhere in the world (so why is Rayman going on that journey for him then?) and both Mr Dark and the Magician like the same colours (pink and purple shoes, like the main colours used in Mr Dark's boss room). Mr Dark also just flees at the end of the game so it's possible. Very, very far-fetched though.
But it looks like they might just use that plot twist! The Origins teensie looks like a mix between the Magician and Mr Dark. Also that test tube with all the lums stuffed into it... that's evil. I like it.
Mr Dark is the Teensy on the hilltop in the second trailer. The Magician is the Teensy with the test-tube. Maybe it was incorrect to conclude that the individual we glimpsed in the bubble was Mr Dark, but I’m still absolutely certain that Mr Dark was the one on the hilltop. And if by some miracle it turns out that all the evidence I’ve amassed is pure coincidence, and Mr Dark isn’t a Teensy, then I’m the one laughing, because you’ve missed out on sixty thousand Tings.sergiomonty wrote:p.d: I want to see spiraldoor's reaction to the (rumored) magician. Where's your Mr. Dark now? Mwahahahaha!

Godammit, I wanted to make that joke! I was to afraid of other people's reactions, though, so I didn't...sergiomonty wrote:That's what she said. Haha, just kidding.Haruka wrote:If I look "less" active during November and December you know what I'm doing.
Be careful, spiral. I also think he's Mr Dark, but I might just take ya on that bet. I don't really care about tings, unless they're someone else's.spiraldoor wrote:And if by some miracle it turns out that all the evidence I’ve amassed is pure coincidence, and Mr Dark isn’t a Teensy, then I’m the one laughing, because you’ve missed out on sixty thousand Tings.
It's from the desert level, right before the Magician shows up.

And for some reason I can't see the Magician being a Teensy. x.x

They determine your rank. Every post you do earns you 5 tings. Once you have a certain amount of tings, your ascend in rank and your picture changes.sergiomonty wrote:Uhm...anyway I don't know what are tings for XD so If I lose them I don't care, but if you give them to me that would be nicesorry spiraldoor xD

Re: Rayman Origins
Ahhh... thanks for giving us the invisible colours! This will work perfectly.Hunchman801 wrote:If someone really wants to reveal key elements of the plot, they won't use spoiler tags, which will be of no use in that case. So, now it's invisible. (#171b14)
Wow, that's really invisible. Mwahahaha... the havoc that can be caused with this is unlimited! Every end of a line could now actually be filled with illegible text! Though I don't see the point in that since no-one will ever know. Nor will anyone probably ever read this very text.INVISIBLE wrote:And now it still is. (#1E2418)Even more invisible wrote:And now even quotes inside quotes are invisible! But I don't think anyone would ever go to such lengths to change the colour of text inside a quote's quote. (#061A00)
So it's
#171b14 - normal text invisibility. <- see final code
#1E2418 - quote text invisibility.
#061A00 - quote-inside-quote invisibility. <- I know this is not what Hunch said, but after some fidgiting with the digits, I found this one is far more invisible than the alternative.

Right, back on-topic.
I think it's not only important to not reveal any cutscenes, but also gameplay, without announcing it - I like to learn nothing of the game, not even moves, because I like figuring stuff out for myself. I dunno about the rest, but that's me.

No, the secret message can be found by taking all the invisible letters hidden between the "I wonder if this will confuse anyone" and putting them behind each other.SuperSunshine wrote:Ir weoanddbeert iwfe tehnitsh weilliln ceosn!f u s e ! a n y o n e ...
