Re: Off Topic
Still don't know it for sure... I mean it sounds cool and all but i have the feeling it's going to flop (dunno why it's just à feeling) but the feeling could be wrong.... (with the Wii i had the same feeling)
Re: Off Topic
I don't exactly understand how having a system flop means you don't have to buy it. Just because the 3DS didn't sell good in the beginning didn't keep me from buying it.ikke471 wrote:Still don't know it for sure... Re: Off Topic
I have a question for all the non jews out there in the forum: does eating something milky (I.E. milk, butter, cheese, etc.) with something meaty (I.E. any sort of animal except fish. Especially beef) give you a stomachache? Does a cheeseburger cause problems? I'm asking because in Judaism it is forbidden to eat meat with milk, and we always say it's because it ain't healthy.

Re: Off Topic
I just want to answer : No.
I've never had problems with milk and meat, and I don't know anyone who has.
Maybe it can be nasty for some persons, but it's probably unusual. And with all the "eat healthy" advertising we have to see, if the "cheese-meat-food" was unhealthy, it would be known.

Though, having MacDonalds forbidden should be national.

Melted cheese on ham. Hhhng <3.
I've never had problems with dairy products&meat food. Actually, there are some recipes where milk is used with raw meat (but I guess nobody's interested).
I believe more in "eat everything but don't exaggerate*" - altough I don't eat fast food very often, only when I can't eat in peace and away from my home.
But, to be honest, I could eat asbestos and drink gasoline, and the worst thing I would have is hiccup - so I don't think I'd count in lol
*doesn't count for sweets and fruits :F

Re: Off Topic
LOL. We have beef burger but no ham burger (pork's forbidden) and no cheeseburger. McDonald's isn't forbidden, just that only separatists can eat there, or if there's a kosher MD (there are only 2 in Israel, and their food sucks), then religious Jews can eat there too.RayTunes wrote:No hamburger? I can see why it would differ from person to person. Here in Israel, it's known that milk+meat makes your stomach ache.
In case you don't get the whole idea, we also have a day once a week when we can't use any electronics (Shabbat in hebrew, basically on saturday). Imagine, you guys sometimes have a "national-not-using-a-cellphone-day" every once or twice or year, we have such a day every week. What sucks is that in a few weeks, because it'll be the Jewish new year, and it'll cross over with the Sabbath, I won't be able to use any electronics for 3 whole days. I'm gonna crack!

Re: Off Topic
Well, I have no problems not using the mobile. PCs, on the other hand, must be in other building on usual occasions to not make me using them at least once per day.
Re: Off Topic
No, there's no evidence that suggests eating a combination of meat and dairy is bad for your health. The notion that this combination is somehow bad for you is probably an attempt at rationalising an old Jewish scriptural law. A futile attempt at making sense of religion, if you will.iambored2006 wrote:I have a question for all the non jews out there in the forum: does eating something milky (I.E. milk, butter, cheese, etc.) with something meaty (I.E. any sort of animal except fish. Yes, I guess you may be right. See, we were having this conversation in school about the rules of Judaism we have an explanation for (E.G. circumcision) and the rules we don't have an explanation for.Tobbe wrote:A futile attempt at making sense of religion, if you will.
That's nothing! 3 days without pizza! 3 WHOLE DAYS WITHOUT PIZZA!!!
