Ah, yes. One of the reasons I'm gonna drop outta that freakin' hellhole. Seriously, the last few days, all I wanted to do was just turn the school over. Just buy a huge amplifier and play "Another Brick in the Wall", full volume. I'm so mad at my school right now.ikke471 wrote:the fact you never see girls at school!iambored2006 wrote:What is?ikke471 wrote:wow that's awfull

Few years ago I used to study IT (now I don't remember a shit, seriously), where there were over 100 students. And only 5 girls, including me.

Also they made the black Teensy Wizard in the same pose as the blue one. That's... cool.

To be honest, even though we have our own events in the US, I would love to go to Eurogamer some day.
Hell, I need to fly out to the UK just to tour around.

Wow, is that Blinx? Or some other character who just shares quite some similarity with the Timesweeper?
It looks like you guys had great fun indeed. Good for you!
*Shrooblord crawls back into his hole and draws a picture of Cairnie on his 'nasty people' list so he can remember who to bear a grudge on should he ever bump into them*
I keed, I keed.
Now... now... ladies. Gentlemen. Down what dark trail has our cognition wandered that it was led astray towards the path of seduction and inpurity? Look not yonder, at the ladies' burbs or you shalt all be sure to receive one rightout wallop in the groinzels!

Re: Rayman Origins
You know guys? there's something that keeps worrying me about rayman origins, and I'm talking about the glitches. Ubiart Framework is a practically new software, so I can imagine that the game may have some minor errors, considering the glitches with the cam in the water level during the e3 (did anyone else notice how the camera takes focus on the big monster eels and misses the heroes?) and the glitch with the two teensy kings when adquiring the power to change size. Yeah, those are just betas, so they are simply able to correct those mistakes, but maybe there will still be some problems. Just like Ocarina of Time 3d, lol they found glitches in only one week.

Re: Rayman Origins
Sorry, huge quotes in this post coming up with slight trails to the recent past, and a long post that is off-topic....

I just want to share my two cents about single-sex education. No matter how good the social ratings of the school are, no matter how high the academic ratings of the school are, never consider sending, advising, or going to a mono-ed school, because a large percentage, even though being smarter than the average person, will come out of there being very socially fucked up. Especially those who've been there since kindergarten, preschool or nursery. I don't know a single person who's been at a mono-ed school their entire life who has anywhere near the same thoughts on the other sex as someone who's been from a co-ed school. To be truthful, the desperate things I hear some people talking about who have had zero interaction with members of the opposite sex are quite scary. They literally don't know how to comprehend the fact that they're people just like themselves. So what if the lack of women or men at a school makes them focus more on their academics, what about their life?
I know I might hear some arguments about people saying they have friends who have been there and come out just fine, but I wasn't talking about everybody on every point I made, I was talking about a frighteningly large percentage. Of course having a life with dignity and respect plus the achievement of wisdom would be the highest benefactor, and that can be just as easily solved by enrolling in a good co-ed school as it is to become an awkward fellow with a big brain. Not including both sexes is just unnatural. If you're afraid of the person becoming a sexual deviant, just wait and see what happens. If you don't like the results, talk to the person. If that doesn't work, let them learn it the hard way, and then they learn a lesson. The worst thing you can possibly do is hide it from them altogether until they're exposed to the world in the middle of their most active years. I mean, wtf?
Sorry for that frighteningly large wall of text, I just wanted to share this advice, because I for one think it's more important to have a life than to take the chance of a creepy jerk or overly desperate nerd et-cetera.
And of course, a Rayman Origins comment: One of the things that worries me most about this game is that it might turn out to be all-out silly. The combination of quirkiness, creativity and feeling, to me, and I'm sure the lot of you, is what made Rayman special. I sincerely hope they don't lose that sense of feeling in the midst of all this major boobage.
Honestly I'd say it's a mix between maturity, respect and humor. You can be both mature and respectful about the topic while still being outrageously funny, and you can also be mature and respectful without joining in just because of who you are. Neither are to be ashamed of, it's just a personality trait.Master4lyf1 wrote:I am not traumatised, I just find it impolite to talk of such matters, call it my way of thinking.
Sorry about being difficult, but I'm a bit too mature like that.
I guess I should just back off this topic for the time-being.

Well, me neither. I studied in a completely manly men school. Imagine the tons of sex jokes that those desperate kids made during my whole high school life.

Hey iambored, I know how you feel, and it's absolutely terrible. I too went to a heavily religious boys school (during middle school that heavily revolved around sports) and it was the worst time of my life. Not "silly" worst, but I was appalled every single waking moment I was there, and I was scared that I would literally and completely lose my mind. That school, no matter how high the "academic rating" of it was, had me on my knees, tearing my hair out. To make matters worse to the point where I got like that, I am trans, so I was a girl in an all boys school, being surrounded by sexually discriminating jokes more than my mind could handle, not to mention the utter infuriating immaturity of the populous, other than the few integrious people there (about two or three people in the entire school as far as I could see). I still can't believe I'm out of that school now. Out of that piece of Hell, finally communicating with my own species.ikke471 wrote:i hate to imagine a school without girls then i have nothing to look![]()
