Re: Rayman Origins
Meh, this is no longer a spoiler (since the website tells the whole story), and it's useful to make people stop being confused: this game stopped being a prequel a long time ago, guys. This game is, actually, Rayman 4. The prequel concept was scrapped when they decided to change the downloadable version of the game.
EDIT:
According to this video (yeah, the guy who plays is idiotic), at 9:56 the whole Snoring Tree is visible. Counting all of the bubbles (including the ones with steam inside) there are 16 playable characters/skins in this game.
BE CAREFUL, THE COMPLETE VIDEO HAS TONS OF SPOILERS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WndmoXzk ... ure=relmfu
I'll try to count all of the skins that we've seen already:
-Rayman
-Rayman with Globox's skin
-Dark Rayman
-Globox
-Red Globox
-Zombie Globox
-Regular green Teensie
-Goth Teensie
-Blue Wizard Teensie
-Orange Wizard Teensie
-Female Teensie
-Grand Minimus
-Zombie Grand Minimus
-Teensie with Rayman's skin
-Teensie with Globox's skin
There's only one playable character that we'ven't seen yet... Or did I forget to mention one?

Haha we’ven’t? And yes that guy is idiotic, kind of annoys me that somebody like him who clearly has no idea of/ couldn’t give a shit about Rayman gets his hand on the game before any of us
still, gameplay looks amazingly fun, as it has in all the previews we’ve seen so far

You missed five.sergiomonty wrote: Or did I forget to mention one?
Yeah, there are actually 20 different characters, five Raymans, ( Raymen? ) five globoxes, and ten teensies.
And before you argue with me like you do with SpiralDoor, Ubisoft has officially stated that there will be at least 20 characters.
( Also I have the script, so I know you missed a few. )

I think I'll be avoiding at the least this topic starting on the 15th. There are bound to be new members joining and not knowing about the transparent text, posting hecks-of-alot of spoilers, etc.
Re: Rayman Origins
In the series are now as many inaccuracies, as the easiest way out is to make all other Rayman games non-canon

Re: Rayman Origins
My theory (I think I didn't misspell it) of the Jano-Polokus issue is that one:
Polokus is always sleeping althrogh someone wakes him up.He's Polokus all the time but when he's having a nightmare he transforms into Jano. When the nightmare finishes,he transforms back into Polokus (I don't mind the game calling him Bubble Dreamer,I'll still call it Polokus because Bubble Dreamer sounds too general and doesn't sound like a name).
But my theory has some faults, like: If Polokus just transforms into Jano when he's having a nightmare why isn't Jano sleeping in R2?
That theory and relation between Jano and Polokus made me think: Will Jano appear in Rayman Origins? The discussion is ready!
About what sergio said,I don't think they left the prequel idea because then many things wouldn't make sense, like why did Betilla create Rayman again or why is Rayman idiotic in this game.I think they are still going on with the idea of Rayman just created and like a prehistoryc-brained hero which will get more mature as you advance in the story.
Too: what's the difference between history and story?

Re: Rayman Origins
Isn't there a way to play Xbox games on a PC?
Anyway.. I can't wait for the music! ^_^

Re: Rayman Origins
That would be the easiest and quickest solution if Rayman possessed the Speed Fist, which isn't the case here. Or else I would have done that a longer time agoHunchman801 wrote:You're getting worked up over nothing, just jump, throw your fist above the flying ring so that it hits the it on its way back and there you are.

Re: Rayman Origins
Guys, Rayman Origins is a sequel. There is no longer any doubt about this. Mr Dark’s official description refers to the events of R1 in the past tense, and the script itself contains several direct references to the events to R1 and R2. Mild spoilers: [The events that occurred in the Swamps of Forgetfulness are specifically mentioned, and so is Mr Dark’s creation of Dark Rayman (I think; I’m not 100% on that one). The Robo-Pirates are mentioned, and so is the Grand Minimus’s confusion over his own identity.] This is Rayman 4. I know it’s weird that Rayman seems less mature, but there it is.
Remember the Rayman 3 dossier presse? It included the word ‘glutes’ on a list of creatures that appear in the game, so it’s definitely not just a reference to someone’s arse. The official description of the gongs in Rayman 3 also mentions that they make a sound like that of a crying baby glute – this is most likely a reference to the baby Globoxes. Combine these facts with tge multiple references to Globox being a glute in R3 (Spider-Glute, the incredible glute, etc) along with the reference to Globox being a glute in Rayman Origins, plus the fact that fans have been calling his species ‘glutes’ for years and most likely took this name from an official source. None of these pieces of evidence is truly conclusive on their own, but when you look at them all together, I really don’t think there’s much doubt. (As for the word ‘butt’ being used in the French version of Origins; could it be a translation error? Isn’t it possible that the game was originally written in English, considering the fact that the lead story designer is an American?)

Well, the Bubble Dreamer’s description says that the magic people believe he keeps to his sacred resting grounds, but in reality he likes to dwell among his creations. In other words, the fakirs think he dreams at the Heart of the World, but really they’re clueless.Haruka wrote:Then wouldn't this mean that the Heart of the World is where Polokus is dreaming? What about later games? Are there more than a Heart of a World? The locations got changed in later games? With the Glade in imminent danger, the Fakirs gathered and delved deep into trance and chanted mystical mantras. Their purpose: to hide the routes to the heart of The Glade where the Maker is said to dream the world.
That’s a great observation. I always thought the name referred to the way he initially tries to eat Rayman, then helps him by giving him the Elixir, but this way works much better. I never thought Jano was another side of Polokus (though the idea had definitely occurred to me); I always assumed that he was Polokus’s equal and opposite, a negative mirror image (the hat was a dead give-away). It seems like that might still be the case.Drolpiraat wrote:I always thought Jano was Polokus. His name Jano is derived from the Roman God Janus, who had two faces. His other face could be none other than Polokus, because of the hat.
