Re: Rayman Origins
Sure he calls it Earth, but he’s not talking about our Earth. He’s talking about the Earth on which the Glade of Dreams is located.

Re: Rayman Origins
One of the reasons I hated the second Rabbids game, was the inclusion of earth.
I will never accept Earth as a planet in the Rayverse.

I always took that line the same way as Rulez did, as in, get to the ground.RayFan9876 wrote:What an amazing coincidence.spiraldoor wrote:Sure he calls it Earth, but he’s not talking about our Earth. He’s talking about the Earth on which the Glade of Dreams is located.
Re: Rayman Origins
I can say that Rayman directly interacts with humans in Rayman Dictées.

I don't know about others, but I don't count any of the learning games as canon.

Re: Rayman Origins
Michel Ancel you should reveal the next Rayman Game in the name of Mr. Dark
Re: Rayman Origins
By the way, today I went to Media Markt, and I saw RO in the shelves. Oddly enough, the Xbox 360 and PS3 covers are translated in Portuguese, and so does the manuals. The Wii version was with English cover.

Re: Rayman Origins
Whilst the name of Mr. Dark might sound cheesy to some, it adds to the air of mystery surrounding the character, thus, I'd rather not know of his real name.

When did everyone decide that Mr Dark is a fake name? I’ve never questioned it. Mr Dark is just Mr Dark. Or better, Mister Dark.

Re: Rayman Origins
Syntax corrected.Michel Ancel, in the name of Mr Dark - you should reveal the next Rayman game!
Anyway, in this game, the imposter Mr Dark's real name is Ales Mansay. Thank you, Holy Script, for revealing this glorious and slightly useless information to us.

it's scrapped, maybe MA changed his mind, and thanks for the correctionDrolpiraat wrote:Syntax corrected.Michel Ancel, in the name of Mr Dark - you should reveal the next Rayman game!

Re: Rayman Origins
It was indeed part of the dialogue that got scrapped, but I don't think the name was what made the developers scrap it. I think they just wanted to be like Mario and focus on the gameplay instead of on the story, dialogue and cutscenes.Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:it's scrapped, maybe MA changed his mind, and thanks for the correctionDrolpiraat wrote:Syntax corrected.Michel Ancel, in the name of Mr Dark - you should reveal the next Rayman game!

Oh and actually, my correction was wrong as well. It's better to translate it as "for Mr Dark's sake". "In the name of ..." is very literally translated from Dutch.

Re: Rayman Origins
I always thought it was an alias, given the mysterious nature of the character.spiraldoor wrote:When did everyone decide that Mr Dark is a fake name? I’ve never questioned it. Mr Dark is just Mr Dark. Or better, Mister Dark.
Though I'm more than happy to accept it as a real name.

Re: Rayman Origins
I understood the phrase perfectly, and there's no way that it says "what's the name of Mr. Dark?" so I'm surprised that spiraldoor didn't get it (he's such a genius, I admit, and no, I'm not being sarcastic). What he tried to say was just an expression, it's like for example someone in the medieval era says "I'll do this, IN THE NAME OF THE KING!", he's just treating Mr Dark like something of big importance, just for funny purposes, to ask: When is Michel Ancel going to show us the next Rayman game?
By the way, the game was released some weeks ago...actually, today Rayman Origins is having it's first Monthiversary in USA!! happy Monthday Rayman Origins!!
Funfact:
Ales Mansay... is "AM"... but..."MA"... MICHEL ANCEL!!! OMG!! nah, just kidding xD
