- The weird virus that's infected Firefox still remains, and the computer persists it's strange behaviour
+ Managed to complete a very tedious piece of homework

Well are you the person Malwarebytes keeps waring me about? Seriously I keep getting messages about it when I come to this topic.Electoon wrote:- Something, really really weird is gone on with the main computer (the one where I said Firefox was infected). I was looking at some old schoolwork in my old science folder - checking out the artwork is some projects about steam driving turbines and nuclear radiation. Suddenly, these random American voices started coming through the headphones. I had nothing up on the computer asides from a copy of power-point, Microsoft Word and an explorer window, so it wasn't coming from Media Player or an Internet browser. I had not heard this before in my life, so it wasn't a file from the computer. It sounded like an educational radio programme, and nothing could be found in the task manager to turn it off. And here is the scary bit - the voices were of these American children (perhaps teenagers) talking to this chap called Dr. Nelson. And they were talking about steam driving turbines and nuclear radiation. The exact thing I was looking at when it started![]()
The only way to stop it was restarting the computer, and even then, they continued chatting even when the Windows is shutting down screen was off. I have to admit it was slightly amusing, but I'm now really concerned about the power of this virus, and no-one can figure out what to do....
EDIT: I've just realised that that reads like some weird dream. It's just that mad
Nah, no matter how much I like Linux (currently using it right now on the laptop), it can't replace Windows with all the programs I love to use. If I could, I would permanently switchDesLife wrote:You should use Ubuntu on that main comp too.
