My Rayman "art"

Post by Smega »

I really only made this as its own topic because I didn't see a "main" art thread of any sort. These are the only Rayman drawings I've done, I don't know if I'll do any more. Maximise your browser, large images.

Pretty nice. Only reccomendations I have for you right now is focussing on Ratchet's right hand (fingers wise) and the edges of his body. The Rayman one has the same rough edges as the Ratchet drawing. Good work on the positioning of fingers, thumb, facial features... the colouring is pretty basic - maybe try adding some shading along the edges next time. For the rest, they're pretty well worked out. Good job!

Yeah, I'm not as dextrous as most people when drawing. I'd practice more, but I don't like to waste paper. (Ratchet's right hand was supposed to be a fist btw)
And the lack of shading; I'd scanned the drawings to Grayscale, that is so it only gets the outlines so I could colour it more easily. Thanks for your feedback :D

I've got something else here that's more detailed: my own made-up nymph.

I must say that your proportions are great! That is a gift not many share.

The proportions are good, except for the Ratchet-Rayman drawing. The hands and feet are too small, the torso is too long, and the head is too big.

Oh, I was referring to the most recent links. The one of the nymph in that dancing/singing deviation caught my eye.

Well yeah, he was based on Ratchet.

Made a gif, which somehow got 16 faves quickly.
