I lol'd XD Like, out loud. Well, I guess clowns need love too! Too bad I can't speak French so I'll have trouble singing along!

The lyrics are given to you, and pronunciation can be easily picked up from hearing them do it. See, you can learn French as I play ;)
(of course this entirely relies on the game working, which I still doubt)

Quietly? No-one? There I was, sitting, reading 9gag when suddenly I hear this voice singing about Betilla. I'm like 'dafuq' and open the window and BLOOOM it gets terrifyingly loud. I'm thinking 'What is this unearthy loud voice?', and apparently it was ye.

Image I bring good news! Image

Rayman CP did not work on Windows XP, but we set up an old Windows 95 machine we had lying around the house and it worked perfectly (asides the part where it crashed once. But it was only once :P) . Unfortunately, I can't get a play through up this way as the old machine wouldn't be able to handle recording software, and even if it could it's too old to know what a USB pen is and it has no internet, so I couldn't do anything with the videos :P

Fear not, we're thinking of something else, but for now I can confirm that the game works fine - it just hates anything NT based.

I've played so much (although only the Lecture (reading) part of the game at the moment, I'll have to do the maths game later) that I'm a bit overwhelmed and I'm finding it hard to pick what to say :mryellow:.

What I will say though is my favourite activity so far is called The Cinema, which requires you to organise story boards of the adventures of Rayman and his friends in the correct order. The best part is, if you get one correct, you actually get to see it as an animation. These adventures include stuff like Rayman playing basketball and accidentally breaking Betilla's window (she wasn't too pleased) and falling in the water while trying to fish in the Dream Forest.

I might slowly reveal more info slowly - particularly if the recording dilemma isn't solved soon. There is so much stuff in the game that this will be the longest play-through ever (although, apart from the prize you get from completing all the educational games on all difficulty settings, I'm not sure it's worth playing all three difficulties of every game on every level as I did with Activity Centre).

Any questions (about Rayman CP, of course :P)? Fire away!

Oh Polokus.... The animations.... THE ANIMATIONS!!! The animations were one of my favourite things from the educational spinoffs!!!

So are all the activities different to Activity centre? Any other characters return?

Unfortunately there are less little animations throughout the activities as there were in activity centre, and they mainly consist of SONG AND DANCE (no joke)! The ones that are there are pretty adorable though (I mean the little animations, not the singing :P)

THEdragon wrote: So are all the activities different to Activity centre?
There are a couple of returning activities, although they contain some slight differences. The funny thing is a lot of the stuff that was considered the educational content in RAC is considered the non-educational stuff in CP :P. This means that a lot of the 'returning activities' don't have skill levels, and it also means all of the new activities are highly educational (on a primary school level that is, which means I have little trouble despite it being in French. It was the French I was taught as primary school myself :mryellow:)
THEdragon wrote: Any other characters return?
I'm assuming you mean characters that weren't in RAC but are here. If not, you'll have to correct me on this one. From what I remember, apart from the Monk, it's mostly the same character set. The Clown in Love plays a much larger role here too (and has a slightly irritating raspy clown voice). I do remember the love birds appearing in places, as well as the Musician's child cameoing in a colouring page. I don't think there were any other cameos from Rayman 1 characters that didn't appear in RAC, but if I think of anymore I'll get back to you :D

Also, a question that was left unanswered in RAC is answered here! I think I'll leave this one under wraps for now

Oh and also, Betilla has a magic baguette.

Does this mean we can colour his hair purple so he looks like the sprite version?

Well...

The more you know! I wonder if that's in her singalong lololol

That game would be great for my collection. xD I mean SERIOUSLY. Those Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire, Activity center etc. are the best education games in the world.

Yep, although the example colouring shows him with brown hair :D. Oh and a Hunter from Rayman 1 also appears with a brief speaking role, I guess that counts too!

Nope, the Betilla sing along is the same as the English one but with French Lyrics that are only slightly different to create a rhyme scheme. Actually I think the rhyme scheme is better in the French version, it didn't quite work in English.

I always knew Betilla couldn't rhyme. 'Bicycle, article' indeed!

Do you think that at some point I should make a separate Raywiki article for the character of the Clown in Love? Because at the moment the character info is lazily merged into the article for the RAC activity, and as it has turned out he is a rather prominent character in a grand total of 3 games in the Rayman Series. If one off characters like Tilly (see the freak in my avatar ;)) get articles, the clown should too! :mryellow:

Sure. If there’s an article for Joe the Cricket, I don’t see why there can’t be one for the Clown in Love.

If you can’t record videos of this game any time soon, could you at least scan the manual so we can read the descriptions and get some idea of how it all works?

That game sounds very interesting, especially the cinema storyboard activity.
And I'm curious to know more about Betilla's magic baguette...

I don't know what would take longer right now, finding a set up which means I can record videos, or scanning every page of the manual :confus: (let me just say, despite only being in one language with no repeats, it's pretty thick). Don't worry, we're still working on it (the recording issue that is)!

What I will say is that the game is highly educational, it's all about maths and reading, but at a simple primary school level (it does delve a little into multiplication, but only every one's favourite Times Tables - 2s, 5s and 10s :D), and it's quite possibly the most educational Rayman game I've ever seen. We do also get some nice tidbits of character information too.

I'm going to change my mind about CP being made later then RAC, despite the later having an earlier feel with it's total Rayman 1 theme (as opposed to Rayman 1.5 with animated series concept art) as some of CP activities are early versions of RAC activities. Perhaps they were both made at the same time by different teams, and CP ending up being released slightly later? All I know is that RAC is clearly translated from French (hence the slightly wonky lyrics on the Betilla song, and the excessive use of 'bravo'), just as CP also has some French stuff that was crudely translated to English (seriously, the Joe the English Cricket songs do not work XD)

For some reason I found this amusing :P

For now, any more questions regarding Rayman CP?

Ahaha eee. n.n
So this looks really interesting and stuff. It's all be in French though, I presume, unless I'm wrong, so translations may be needed.
So, uh, where does RayTAS come into it?
