Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]

Post by R3fan2 »

I thought I should show you the beginning of my book. I should note that I decided to start it off with Rayman having a nightmare.

"What do you want from me!" Rayman shouted as he ran. He was being chased by something through a dark forest, something big.
"Ha ha ha ha! Foolish Rayman!" its voice echoed between the trees. Rayman ducked under a oversized tree root "You think you can stop him? You don't stand a CHANCE!!" Rayman could feel the presence of the creature getting closer, he glanced behind his shoulder but there was nothing there. Rayman skidded to a halt and looked around, there was rocks, trees, roots, and other odd plants Rayman had never seen before, but there was no creature. Rayman could still feel its presence somewhere close.
"W-where are you?" Rayman asked nervously. The creature laughed hysterically in response. Its voice was deep and raspy, it gave rayman chills. Then mixed in with the laughing was a whisper. "Rayman.....Rayman......." it got louder. Rayman was terrified, he looked around again to see where the voices were coming from but he still couldn't see anything "Stop it!" he shouted. The voice got louder "Rayman........Rayman..." then pounding surrounded Rayman mixing in with the voice, as it got louder it seemed more fimalier. The voice got louder and louder and soon Rayman couldn't even here the creature laughing anymore. The world seemed to fade around Rayman until there was nothing but darkness. Then, the voice stopped.

What do you think?

I don't think rayfan would announce any of the story so I have to improvise.

Wow, I love it, R3fan2. :) You write in a very engaging way. The part I especially like is how it describes what I assume is Dark Rayman or Mister Dark. In fact, I may base part of my game off of your book, because I've been having trouble trying to figure out how Dark Rayman should be introduced.

But yes, you're right, I unfortunately won't be releasing any of my own detailed story for a while.

I thought I replied to it - apparently I didn't, so I'll tell you now: I like the idea quite a bit. In my opinion they would fit in a more level-specific area such as the Shadow Factory and the Prison Ship, and possibly even Into The Blaze. Since I had no ideas of my own and since I like your design, I'm going to say yeppers. :)

Shrooblord also got two out of his three entries in, which I'll show if he gives permission. In the meantime, I'll be modeling your concepts!

Oh, sure, Rayfan, show the world my creations! I made them for you; you can do with them as you wish - except for the Time Demon, as I'm using him for my own ... purposes...

This is the time where you ask how long it would take to choke the Time Demon... or hit it over the head with a microphone... or feed it cheese - granted that it's allergic to cheese... especially gorgonzola... euwwgh...

Right underneath the user information tab along the right of the post is a little button labelled 'PM'. This stands for Personal Message and allows you to send a message to someone privately. It's like an e-mail service, except only within the forum.

Nah! No laughing involved. Sorry for all the compliments, but you're one of the most comprehensive members I know, so a little question subsiding your bright self isn't a problem at all.

Alright! I just need to get home to access Photoshop.

You stalker... but at least now that you know my intentions, may I request that you so kindly answer those questions?

You seem to be very GLaD about a lot of things lately. It's OS if you have become obsessed with a concept of some sort, or possibly a character from some sort of alternate reflection of our own reality.

Indeed. :P
That reminds me, Portal 2 won 3 awards in BAFTA, including "Best Game". :mryellow:

Rayfan, I need to know. How on earth did you obtain the education to be developing such a high-profile fangame almost single-handedly?
