< tried to run half-life this morning but got this something simmilar to this error

C++ Runtime error
Program:C:\program files\steam\steamapps\buildersith\half-life\hl.EXE
Abnormal application termination

after this error appears about 7 or 8 times half-life closes
<then tried running TFC and the same thing happened.
<Has tried everything, restarting windows, restarting steam, installing and uninstalling both games, and < still get this message.
< Is going to contact steam support for help but would be greatful if anyone here can help.

edit:
< should mention that its the steam version of the game and that it was running fine on friday.
