Why would they destroy several months’ worth of hard work? It’s obvious that they’ve kept some copies of the game data on hard drives. We’re not talking about warehouses full of Rayman 4 artwork here; just a couple of external disks. Have you forgotten that Ancel was talking about finishing it last year? Not that I really care: Mammothphant’s constant comments about Rayman 4 have sapped any enthusiasm I might have felt for it.The Edditaur wrote:Ubisoft no longer has the Rayman 4 Prototype. No game, no files, nothing. It isn't kept in some vault in Michael Ancel's basement, it isn't anywhere other than on the RRR discs. It just isn't there anymore. And you know what that means? It also means that an "official video walkthrough" of the game to see what it would have been like is also not possible, because the prototype no longer exists. How is it possible, in any way shape or form, that Ubisoft would keep a cancelled project fully intact from where they left it off from, in the hopes that they could one day release it?

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
@ Bzzit and THEDragon: Is it okay to you if we send a letter, which has writings from each of us and our names in the end? We could also mention that we would want to see the Valley again in some other future Rayman game that will be made by Ubi instead of Phoenix studio. I dont think we should support that Phoenix project, because that Phoenix studio probably hasnt the rights of Rayman any more. But Rayman 4 could be released because it belongs for Ubisoft.
I can make the letter and post it and pay all the post costs.
I had to post this again because it must be seen by Bzzit and THEDragon. Edditaur please no more stuff like that okay? Dont bother our work. If you dont want R4 you dont need to write here. Next time when you have something like that to say send me PM. When our job is done then you and other disagree ers can again send random comments in which youre trying to stop me expecting R4.
I just write you this Edditaur, but only reply by PM if you still want to bother me. How can you know that the R4 doesnt exist? Even though it wasnt released it sure was very big and hard project. What kind of artist would just destroy all the project that took a lot of hard work? For example i have many drawings that i havent showed for anyone, but no matter what i keep them for myself and i love them and they took WORK AND SPIRIT TO MAKE. Thats what most artists including game designer do. We dont work like robots, WE HAVE A HEART AND A BRAIN. At least i dont believe Ancel would work like a heartless robot. They sure have R4 somewhere, but simply havent released it and it could be played by Michel Ancel and his kids.

Yes, artists are living people, but a job is a job and if a project is cancelled well then that's too bad. That's why they have portfolios, to keep their work.Mammothphant 2 wrote: How can you know that the R4 doesnt exist? Even though it wasnt released it sure was very big and hard project. Origins also had Ancel. If no one were told I wouldn't even have known, since his style seems to have changed a lot over the last decade.spiraldoor wrote:And, uh, Michel Ancel.RayFan9876 wrote:I don't really see what R4 has to offer in comparison to the Phoenix production. Alright, now I'm going to respond to two ridiculous things:
How do you know it doesn't exist? Where on Earth did you get that from? Companies don't do that, so I'm not sure what your thought process is here. The Edditaur wrote:Not to sound mean here or anything Mammoth, but God. If I had a penny for every time I facedesked over your constant thoughts that Rayman 4 was still in the Ubisoft offices in a complete (Or even incomplete) state, I'd be a fucking millionaire by now. Honestly, I have to get this message across to you.
Ubisoft no longer has the Rayman 4 Prototype.
All I'm saying here is, the release of Rayman 4 will never happen. Or at least, the release of that Rayman 4 will never happen. Don't be calling on any interview quotes either, because while Ancel may make a new Rayman game "similar to the R4 Prototype", it won't be running on the same engine, it won't contain the same music, and after the Rabbids fiasco and the likeliness of a backlash from fans, it probably won't contain any bunnies either. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh Mammoth, but if this doesn't get the message across to you, then I don't know what will. This is the end. The Rayman 4 Prototype won't happen. End of. Please. No more torture.
That sounds even more ridiculous than Edditaur's statement. How do you know it's completed? Where on Earth did you get that idea? I'm not sure what your thought process is here.Mammothphant 2 wrote:I just write you this Edditaur, but only reply by PM if you still want to bother me. How can you know that the R4 doesnt exist? 1) So what if his style has changed? His involvement still guarantees quality.RayFan9876 wrote:If no one were told I wouldn't even have known, since his style seems to have changed a lot over the last decade.
2) Rayman 4 was under development seven years ago.

Yes, but from what we've seen of the Phoenix project, they probably were onto something of even higher quality.spiraldoor wrote:1) So what if his style has changed? His involvement still guarantees quality.
What I meant was, since Rayman 2, which is actually thirteen years ago, so seven years is almost in the middle.spiraldoor wrote:2) Rayman 4 was under development seven years ago.

What’s the best game developed by Phoenix Interactive?

Mammoth, you aren't listening. This is a public forum where discussions are allowed to have input from everyone, and you need to respect that. You can't just go off stating completely false, uncited facts like "releasing Rayman 4" without expecting people to throw in their input, because there's no way it would have been anywhere near completion. Do you understand this or not? Do you understand why your argument makes no sense or not?Mammothphant 2 wrote:@ Bzzit and THEDragon: Is it okay to you if we send a letter, which has writings from each of us and our names in the end? Arg, with all this arguing going on, I don't even know what to think anymore.
I could write some sort of letter, but do I really have to put my name on it?
