I presume you are playing the PC version. Have you tried to update your graphic card?Wiiola wrote:Recently, I've been playing Rayman Origins. I have 185 Electoon Smileys (sp?) and 8 Skull Teeth. I gave up playing it, though, because a bunch of textures isn't visible... Since the level I gave up on has a lot of fire (dragon chef's belly), I decided that I would be too frustrated to play through it. The next set of underwater levels isn't helping that matter either...

Yes, I downloaded the newest drivers for my graphic card. Now my Firefox crashes. Thankfully, Opera is comparable.
I'll never understand why they didn't let us disable some of the distortions, which in my opinion is the cause of invisibility of these sprites, since they are troublesome to quite an amount of PCs.

Been playing through Parappa 2 again. Not sure if it's for nostalgia or if I actually enjoy the music, but damn, lot of the soundtracks are rather catchy, hehe. I also plan on buying re-buying Rayman revolution for PSN.

I heard the Psp version is somewhat unplayable and annoying due to the timing being off or somethingRayfist wrote:I have it for psp, I'll need to fetch a copy of the first one as well somedayBzzit wrote:You played the first parappa? Re: What games are you currently playing?
Boy oh boy, there are many moments in the game where I feel as if I didn't do anything wrong, but the game it's self just didn't read the buttons when I timed it perfectly at times. 0_0Bzzit wrote:I heard the Psp version is somewhat unplayable and annoying due to the timing being off or somethingRayfist wrote:I have it for psp, I'll need to fetch a copy of the first one as well somedayBzzit wrote:You played the first parappa? Haha how they messed up the timing on a rhythm orientated game is beyond me, they should release Parappa for the PSN storeRayfist wrote:Boy oh boy, there are many moments in the game where I feel as if I didn't do anything wrong, but the game it's self just didn't read the buttons when I timed it perfectly at times. 0_0Bzzit wrote:I heard the Psp version is somewhat unplayable and annoying due to the timing being off or somethingRayfist wrote:I have it for psp, I'll need to fetch a copy of the first one as well somedayBzzit wrote:You played the first parappa? Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm experiencing a problem with old games in my Windows 7. When I start them, they get with a messed up colour pallete, or pixels with other colours.
Does anybody has got a solution for this problem?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
try putting on window mode rather then full screen, that worked alot of times with me,or try chaging some stuff in the graphics menu,if it doesnt work try opening the game,go back to the desktop(not by closing the game),and go back to the game, that always works with me when i play diablo and starcraft
Re: What games are you currently playing?
The problem is the games don't allow window mode.

Try switching off all visual themes and playing in 640x480, with 256 colours. (That's all available under the compatibility tab if you right-click the program and go to properties).Haruka wrote:I'm experiencing a problem with old games in my Windows 7. And if you're really desperate, you could try an emulator of the games' native OS.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
And if they're DOS-based games, you shouldn't bother trying to run them through Windows 7's compatibility modes. Just go straight to DOSBox.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I already know about DOS games, but the issues I'm having is with games from the era of 98/ME.

Then Shrooblord's and my first suggestions should be sufficient, I thinkHaruka wrote:I already know about DOS games, but the issues I'm having is with games from the era of 98/ME.
