Who said that I think that somewhere else is paradise?.. My paradise is only at my head and heart and it doesn't depends of location.
Every place on Earth may be special (but there are some exceptions for me too) and if I say that I'd like to live somewhere else, doesn't mean that I don't like my Fatherland or think that "somewhere else is better". I not just like, I love Latvia very much, but it doesn't mean that there are no other places in the world. I'm interested to many cultures and places for many reasons. Florida is only one of them. Sometimes I even think, that life wouldn't be enough to visit and/or live in all places where I want...

Yes, it snows here at winter. Sometimes it starts to snow early (in October-November and till March), sometimes here may be only one-two weeks with snowy weather. Actually, I feel horrible of it. I like how snow looks, but being outside at cold weather is too bad for my body... As I said before, I feel very bad when temperature is lower than +20. And winters here are cruel. Temperature is not so low if compare with Siberia for example, usually here is from 0 till -15 at winter and veeeery rarely -25-30, but humidity is very high and always blows very strong northen wind. I don't know how do people can stand this weather. After being outside for 10-15 minutes my skin starts to hurt, also my head always hurts of any non-hot/very warm weather. It's actually because I have certain syndrome.

By the way, if close eyes on cold, one of places which I'd like to visit too, is Nunavut (Northen province of Canada)... I'm very interested in inuit's culture and would like to visit those frozen lands and talk to people there.

Yes, but don't ever call Canada America. We are nothing like America. America's economy sucks ass, and the stereotype of 'unintelligent' there is actually somewhat true.
Rendell wrote:I hate local climate, by the way... I like only July here, when it's near +30, humid and stormy. As my relative said, who lived for ~20 years near Miami, there is very humid and hot, so this would be suitable for me. Here is humid all year long too, but I feel horrible when temperature is lower than +20... unfortunately, suitable time for me is only in the middle of summer. :/
Interesting, I actually would have thought that the humidity level would be incredibly low over there. Well in that case, I guess you wouldn't have a hard time adjusting to Florida.

In Whistler here we get snow seven months of the year, and I actually like it. I hate to see the snow go, but I also don't mind the cold.

Did I say that? No, I didn't say that. I said that the intelligence of the general populous in America is significantly lower than other countries of its rank. Does that mean that every single person who lives in America is stupid? No, absolutely not. However just for jumping to the conclusion that you did, I might be reluctant not to mentally drop you in the dumb category.

Really though, if you can manage to speak as well as you and Rayman502 do at age eleven, then you definitely aren't stupid, you're just... eleven.

I've got news for you.
*deep breath*
Canada IS in America. As are Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and plenty of other countries, as well as those United States whose economy sucks and whose populace are "unintelligent". :P

The average IQ of a United States citizen is 98. The average IQ of a Canadian is 97.

Let me rephrase that: I wasn't referring to academic intelligence, I was referring to, what do you call it, the 'knowledge' of things outside that scope. I'm not kidding when I say that when I've gone down there, which I do three or four times per year, far too many people seem ignorant of virtually everything. It's more noticeable in the midlands of the country, and probably the least noticeable towards the North. It may sound like a nitpick, but it's not really, it's very, very obvious if you spend time talking to people, and I've spent a lot of time doing that.

Plum, you've become so overly technical it kills me. Yes, Canada is 'America,' I was just vocalising my satirical want to have nothing to do with the US.

So I should have said "Canada is the best place where u can live" ? Dammit I should have said "Canada is the best place where u can live IN SOUTH AMERICA".
:P.

When people say America they know that America is not only USA. Fuck dat :hehe: ...u are using everything I could give you to make "satirical jokes" (if I made myself understood...).

It's partly true - Southeastern territories are a little more dry and there is continental climate. But I live in Riga, it's capital and one of three most big ports in Latvia. I need only 1-2 hour to get to seaside, so here is probably very humid all year long. I always feel sea smell when northen wind blows...

By the way, talking about America... reminds me my last 3 years in high school. Half of my class got very surprised, that New York is not capital of USA and many of them (mostly girls) were SURE that Canada, USA and Mexico are the same and in Southern America are only savages and no culture. Damn, I still feel ashamed of idiots with whom I was studying... two years ago we had some kind of language/culture contest about Canada. I had 10 people in my team and I was the only one, who have answered to all 25 questions correctly. Moreover, I was the only one, who was raising hand to answer. I don't really get why do others participated this contest, they even had no idea what's capital of Canada.

Wow, that's pretty morbid. I'll admit it's "reasonable" not to know the capitol of Canada (since it's the smaller city next to the big, famous city), but savages? Have they never seem movies or video games, 90% of which take place in America?
