The figure that Mezco made is very cool. It doesn't look as durable as the ones Playmates made back in '95 though, the Mezco one is much more detailed though, I might buy it sometime. Also, my friend got rid of this and let me have it:

The first time I heard something about EWJ was about 1 month ago when Rayray gave me one of the soundtrack that i loved ("Anything but tangerines" if I remember).

I think I will play it in the future. GOG is going to become my favourite purchase website at this rate :mryellow:

Ouuuuch, Earthworm Jim 3D sucks. One of my worst buyings ever made, I own the PC version. The game is so full of problems in such way that it is impossible to get the 1000 marbles because of a glitch that prevents me to get the last 3 (Yeah, I somehow one hundred-percented the game, but I suffered a lot until there). This game shouldn't ever be made. Like if it wasn't enough, after beating the game you unlock the hard mode, played with Earthworm Kim. The game itself is already crap and freaking difficult to beat, and they decided to program a hard mode. Who would ever want to repeat this garbage with a harder difficulty? The developers must got to be kidding me :boon:. Since I completed the game I nevermore touched it, and I don't think I'll pick it up again.

Yeah, it's not great. I'm not sure about the PC version, since I've never played it (it was notable for receiving negative reviews though, the N64 version's reviews were mixed), the game is indeed hard, but the N64 version isn't flat-out garbage. Aside from the bad camera, insane difficulty, inconsistent framerate, and somewhat awkward controls, it's not a bad adventure. I sure as heck wouldn't recommend the game to ANYONE though, but it's definitely not the worst platformer on N64, at least it's playable. I thought the game had a great concept though.

I honestly prefer to stick with Earthworm Jim: Special Edition (in an emulator). I own Earthworm Jim HD but sadly this does not contain the secret level of Level 5 and Big Bruty.

I'd like to have this miniature of Jim, that David Perry had on his desk back in '96. But of course I'd also love to have that giant statuette of Rayman Ubisoft had in their offices in 2000 too. This is a lot smaller though.

Earthworm Jim has one of the best soundtracks in Video Games. Especially "Psycrow" and "Use Your Head". I recently obtained Earthworm Jim for iPod touch. And it's a really good game and excellent gameplay.

This is one of the most awesome and genious tracks for videogames I've ever heared... Everytime I listen it, I get a lot of inspiration.
I like also "What the Heck?!" and "Level 5".

EWJ was the first game for Sega Mega Drive in my life. I recieved it for my 5th birthday. First of all, I looked on cover and thought "what the hell is this thing?", then was expecting to play horrible game. But after I have turned it on, I could not stop laugh and found soundtrack very nice. More I've been playing, more I loved this game.
Then, some time later, I played PC version. When I heared PC version of "Use Your Head", especially those solos at the middle and end of track, even some tears appeared on my eyes. This is really magnificent tune...

Sometimes I'm playing it, using emulator of Sega Mega Drive. I have also EWJ2 rom, but it's not so interesting for me like first game. Heared a lot about EWJ 3D and have seen some gameplay videos on YouTube... I don't even want to try it. xD Looks awful.

We can all thank Tomy Tallarico for his brilliant compositions for Earthworm Jim. I own the first game on GBA and DSi ware, never play the GBA version at any cost. The DSi ware version is pretty good, but it's missing the "Who Turned Out The Lights?" stage hidden in Level 5, the framerate also drops a considerable amount when too many objects are on the screen, I guess no system can still rival the Sega Genesis' "Blast Processing".

Nooo, I will NEVER play this horrible game... gameplay videos from YouTube were enough for me! D: Looks like a totally dumb game for wasting time...

By the way, when I was little, Earthworm Jim was one of popular TV shows on some Russian TV-channel too, not only popular game...
I haven't been watching it when I was little, but I done that year ago. I don't really liked those series, anything looked... uhm... not that awesome as original game.

I also think the cartoon series is very cheesy compared to the game itself. At least if you are Australian and a big fan of Jim you can buy the DVD version of the series.

Maybe, someone could rip an ISO of the DVD for us, if they obtain a copy. :P

Anyone know if Earthworm Jim Special edition for PC will work on Windows 7? I've heard that some computers won't play old computer games.

The TV show is supposed to get a North America release at some point this year and as much as a region 2 release would be nice I've got a DVD recorder that's easily hackable so we can play all regions on it, we've been able to play R1 DVDs (eg Johnny Bravo) before for example.

I can't. Also, it's like Jim is really showing his opinion about this game.
