Which final boss battle do you guys prefer? The one seen in the playstation version or the standard one?

Its difficult to say, because I'm used to the classical one. But I think the PS1 battle is by far more challenging than the original one.

Of course. The second part for it is far harder than on PC.

That's a difficult one, on one end I did like having more of a face to face slamdown with Razor in the PS1 version, but in the other versions it feels like you are dealing the final blow to Razor in an epic final attack, with Razor trying his best not to be overcome.

Gameplay wise, they are both quite good, but if we're talking about details, I really didn't like that neverending pipe in PS1 version, it could turn from time to time.

While the overall shading of the PlayStation version was heavily simplified, it actually sometimes worked to the game's advantage, giving it a heavily stylised look. Though I can only think of a few instances where that was the case.

We can't do anything, since the PS1 hardware is limited.

Cool, I feel pretty much the same as everyone else in terms ofthe boss. I recently finished rayman 2 ps1 hadnt played it in like almsot 10 years. Despite it lacking sections and numerous things being altered I actually prefered quite a few things. I love the fact you rescue numerous creatures from cages isntead of just lums I also liked the apearance of Antitoons every now and then and Ninjaws was awesome. The cutscenes before gaurdians were sweet and I liked how you get chased by a shell in Menhir hills instead of that awkward crate section. The sections that removed bar The sanctuary of water and ice I didnt mind at all. I mean I never liked the top of the world anyways or that starting bit of tomb of the ancients. Though I prefered Murphy as an instructor over Ly for sure.

The Top of the World was my favourite level when I was little, having grown up on the incredibly catchy music of the N64 version. Check it out if you have the time, the music in that level on that version is great.

The omission of The Top of the World was one of the most disappointing omissions in the PS1 version, it was a joy when I discovered it during my first run in the PC version.

PS1 version was my first, PC was my second.
The first part of The Top Of The World was rehashed as one of Lys challenges, the second part appears in the rearranged Precipice.

I think that both version are cool, but as Stan said I don't like that neverending pipe. But seeing shooted Grolgoth trying to return to control was a thing I always laughed with my sis. :D

My favourite levels are the Precipice and Beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava. I liked the action of the Precipice, and the Super Helicopter controlling in the sanctuary. The scenario on it and the music were bonuses.

Same here actually alongside woods of light, I remember getting super heliocopter for the first time and thinking id be able to go back and use it in past levels and stuff I was so excited then Foutch had to ruin the fun :( But I love the music and challenge in the level. Same with the Precipice. I love woods of light so much as ive played that level countless times over the past decade or so its permentaly lodged into my subconscious.

I don't think I could even name a favourite level from the game, as my whole attitude towards the entire game is 'you are awesome'. However, if I try to single out a couple of levels, I would say I like all the Sanctuaries best, the Precipice and the Prison Ship. Their gameplay is iconic to the game, for me, though I know there's some really iconic levels in there that I didn't mention.

My favourite would probably be Whale Bay, simply because of the music. I'm in the middle of replaying though, so I might change my mind pretty soon.

My favourite levels have always been the Woods of Light and the Precipice. I always felt that its just awesome to be running away from a massive pirate ship.

I agree completely with all Shroobie said there, though I would add the Top Of the World to that list, the chair ride is most enjoyable once it has been mastered.
