Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Hi,
I've followed your game for some time and everytime it fascinates me much more how you capture the amazing of Rayman with your music and artwork. Your character ideas fit absolutely into the Rayman universe, fantastic job on them! I've always liked the whole feeling of the original Rayman trilogy, especially the first one impressed with it's perfect mix of some kind of seriousness and the the affectionately wonderful created world of Rayman.
I have one suggestion though. Because I always prefered the baddies, could you maybe change the appearance of Dark Rayman more similar to the Anti-Rayman from the one in Rayman 1? Maybe this would make his appearance more diverse and similar to the "good" Rayman. Some kind of a compromise between your version of Dark Rayman and the original Anti-Rayman.
I can't wait to see the background story of him. Does he maybe get together with Raven in the end, because she doesn't appear in the other games? This would delete the possibility that he has to vanish forever, he's just too badass of just being destroyed.
However, great work so far!
I also agree with releasing the so far great soundtrack, it's just mindblowing!

Thanks!
In regards to changing Dark Raymn's appearance, I've tried to make him very reminiscent of his Raymn 1 colours. Are you looking at the current version from the August update?

Hah, you're right! I for some reason thought I had seen his username before. Maybe I was studying the recently joined users too hard.

Yeah, nice update by the way. It's hard to describe because there is only the 2D-image of the good old times... (http://rayman.wikia.com/wiki/File:Dark_Rayman_RA.png)Adsolution wrote:Thanks!

A dark tone of violet for the the helicopter-hairs, a brighter scarf and some dark grey elements for the nose maybe mixed with the epic darkness you gave him in previous videos.
You used many ideas from other Rayman sources like all the canceled projects which is great. Is there something planned for some possible far-in-the-future-contents including worlds like the World-Tree or the Fortress of Sand? (https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_4_% ... ototype%29)

You're right on this, because the only reliable sources for information about Rayman are the games (and the official websites).Shrooblord wrote:Please don't get your information from the other Rayman wikis... they're about as trustworthy as arse.Plejadenwolf wrote:http://rayman.wikia.com/wiki/File:Dark_Rayman_RA.png

Dude, we have our own wiki here, and as biased as this sounds...ours is superior.Plejadenwolf wrote:You're right on this, because the only reliable sources for information about Rayman are the games (and the official websites).Shrooblord wrote:Please don't get your information from the other Rayman wikis... they're about as trustworthy as arse.Plejadenwolf wrote:http://rayman.wikia.com/wiki/File:Dark_Rayman_RA.png
But then, this is just an image, so it's ok.But as you said, it's a very good source for images. Expecially those of the cancelled Rayman games and/or prototypes. I think they had some good ideas this days and it's good to see that the best ones seem to appear in the game.
Thing is, our Wiki, for one, is hosted here, and isn't subject to the rubbish Wikia puts its Wikis through.
Also, you'll find that our Wiki can only be edited by official members, thus reducing the amount of speculative material.
Furthermore, our wiki is maintained by many veterans and member who are rather knowledgeable in the series, and the quality of our Wiki is much better, as is the quality and quantity of our pages.
What I am saying essentially, is that, although no Wiki is free from completely false content, our wiki is probably the best non-official source for Rayman related facts. You should take solace in the fact that our Wiki is pretty much wholly genuine, so feel free to use it as an informative source.

Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Okay, sorry for the circumstances. It was just that I searched for some images and forgot that there is also a wiki right here before my very own eyes. I don't doubt what you say, the quality of the wiki articles speaks for itself. I will remember this in future.Master4lyf1 wrote:Dude, we have our own wiki here, and as biased as this sounds...ours is superior.Plejadenwolf wrote:You're right on this, because the only reliable sources for information about Rayman are the games (and the official websites).Shrooblord wrote:Please don't get your information from the other Rayman wikis... they're about as trustworthy as arse.Plejadenwolf wrote:http://rayman.wikia.com/wiki/File:Dark_Rayman_RA.png

I'm one of the contributors of the RayWiki, and I can say that its the most trustworthy source for Rayman stuff in the whole internet, since each time its edited its controlled and checked by other veteran members of the Rayman series that have got an extended knowledge.

So, Ad, I know I must be bugging you, but how's the KOMPLETE feeling now? Have you grown into it already and is it, for you, teh paur aresum?
Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
For the first part of the question, dunno. For the second one, there is "The Silent Assassin" and what she already said about this soundtrackShrooblord wrote:So, Ad, I know I must be bugging you, but how's the KOMPLETE feeling now? Have you grown into it already and is it, for you, teh paur aresum?

I've totally grown into it. Whilst I've already gotten the hell used to Kontakt, Massive and Absynth, there's still loads of things I have yet to explore.Shrooblord wrote:So, Ad, I know I must be bugging you, but how's the KOMPLETE feeling now? Master4lyf1 wrote:Brilliant idea, though doesn't CryEngine have level editing tools anyway?
You see, I could just hand over the CE3 sandbox and all open, moddable files, but I've most likely decided against this just because of what the game is - also, so you can use the same PC level editor on consoles and so on. The standard CE3 tools are obviously only available on PC, whereas my level-editor would be in-engine, allowing for it to be on all platforms, customised exactly how I want it. It won't let you do every little thing right down to designing cutscenes and other game dev shit like the CE3 tools provide, but it would provide you with the ability to make your own multiplayer/singleplayer maps that you can share online. Going on with that:Shrooblord wrote:Weren't you already thinking about doing this? :OAdsolution wrote:Hey, this gives me a great idea, how about a 3D Rayman Designer-like mode for ROTD?
Level editors are boss.
This is one of the first things I thought my game should have, since I do love games with editors OH so much. Then again, building a full editor from scratch is a pretty hard thing to do, so I wish you good luck. Perhaps you should make a sort of plugin for CE3 to be able to handle your specific files easily instead.
I'm also planning on incorporating multiplayer. I may have mentioned this before, but I've confirmed a "Rayman Arena 2" to be included as a multiplayer mode. You know what'll be extremely fun? Replicating Rayman's theme.

About this project of editing, will people need to have CryEngine3 on their computer in order to use it or would it be a part a of the game (I don't know if I explain myself well but
