Pretty fun. Gotta play it. And I STILL need to play Rayman Origins. Barely even tried that. D:Haruka wrote:I still need to play that game.
I've been replaying Rayman Origins, just because I felt to.

Alright, to be honest, Epic Mickey 2 isn't all that bad. The camera does mess up now and then, but it hasn't irritated me as much in the original, where it seemed to jump around with you having no control over it. Sadly, it's the gameplay self that gets on my nerves. Just about every character you meet has a million different side quests they want you to complete. Unlike the first game many of these seem impossible unless you have a strategy guide, and even with the book I still get stuck. I've had several occasions where both the guide and game tell me to do something, and then I can't. I'm supposed to buy an item from a store but the store doesn't sell it? I rebuild the broken bridge but the game still tells me its broken? I have to fix a machine but there are no instructions of what to do? Fuck. Eh, but even then, the prices are not really worth it. Pins would be a lot cooler if you could do more with them. The positive side of this game is that what does work, works really well. The environment is much more varied and detailed, giving you something to look at all the time, rather then then the many huge areas from the previous game. The voice acting is actually really well done, too, and the same can be said about the story. I want to know what happens next. They tried a few new things with the gameplay, most notably the fact that using paint of thinner actually matters this time. In the first game, your restorations are destruction would be reset when you came back to an area. In this game it stays, and has an effect on a few other things too. I'm 50/50 on it. Not a bad game, but please, the fucking side quests. Why.
Almost finished up Sticker Star. Can't wait for Dark Moon.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Sticker Star was pretty bad, it retains nothing that made the originals so good. Christ, it's hardly even a role-playing game any more.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I think the game made sense. They clearly don't want it to be a plain RPG game just like Mario & Luigi. I know a lot of people think it'd bad, but I've been having a pretty good time with it. Really the only complaint I have is that whenever I don't have access to the web I easily get stuck in 3 minutes and can't continue. Some of the things they put in are too fucking cryptic. I think this can be mostly blamed on the 3D items and having no clue which one(s) you need.Adsolution wrote:Sticker Star was pretty bad, it retains nothing that made the originals so good. Listening those opinions make me pretty disappointed. I just love the N64 and GC games.

Tomb Raider, finally a substantial story where the protagonist is lost on a hostile island compared to the mehness which was Far Cry 3's plot.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I saw a video on it yesterday and I must say that I am impressed. The game seems to have a feel not unlike the Batman Arkham games. (Or is it like any current Square Enix action-adventure game? I've only played Arkham Asylum so far.)Bzzit wrote:Tomb Raider, finally a substantial story where the protagonist is lost on a hostile island compared to the mehness which was Far Cry 3's plot.
Also, look what just arrived!
Factory-sealed and everything!

The 3D items were very poorly executed, but if you can look past that there's a great game.Haruka wrote:You played it?Adsolution wrote:Sticker Star was pretty bad, it retains nothing that made the originals so good. Christ, it's hardly even a role-playing game any more.

I still didn't play the Sticker Star game, I would prefer to try out first the Super Paper Mario, despite of some RPC members' critiques.

Same here. I actually wanna try it before I listen to other people's comments and flames about it. And with Super Paper Mario, no matter what other people say, I'm still gonna buy it and play it someday.Haruka wrote:I still didn't play the Sticker Star game, I would prefer to try out first the Super Paper Mario, despite of some RPC members' critiques.
Me too. I'm with you all the way. Not to mention Nintendo 64 is my favorite system. I'm also trying to AT LEAST get the first three paper mario games. So far, I've got the original and The Thousand Year Door. I STILL wanna try Super Paper Mario. Heard it's actually pretty good even though it's not RPG.Haruka wrote:You played it?Adsolution wrote:Sticker Star was pretty bad, it retains nothing that made the originals so good. Super Paper Mario isn't a bad game in any way. Fanboys were just upset that it wasn't a copy/paste of The Thousand Year Door. It's probably one the best 2D Mario games out there.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Oi, Persona 4 is pretty darn amazing! I used to love playing that thing.
I've also got Persona 3 but sadly haven't finished either of them. As usual with most JRPG's, I got stuck on a boss battle, decided take a break on the game and then boom suddenly it's been 4 years. D:

Same here. Still got Persona 3, Dark Cloud 2, Dargon Quest 8, Tales of the Abyss and Ni No Kuni to go back to.Tricai wrote: As usual with most JRPG's, I got stuck on a boss battle, decided take a break on the game and then boom suddenly it's been 4 years. D:
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I should continue Worms Revolution. Even if I didn't finish yet the campaign and puzzle mode, I was expecting a whole lot more from this game, with the new water and physics mechanics. I feel disappointed how glitchy the shadows are (they look more like stairs than shadows themselves but thank god I can deactivate the background shadows) and how slowish it feels too. Worms Armageddon is without question the best Worms ever made, I love this version.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Yeah, I'm also trying to make an exception with Ni No Kuni. I really want to see this one to the endBzzit wrote:Same here.
