Re: Rayman Glitches
What is that strange sound effect that plays during the glitch?
Re: Rayman Glitches
It's Moskito's buzzing sound playing at the wrong sample rate. Very odd....Robotic Teensie wrote: What is that strange sound effect that plays during the glitch?

Re: Rayman Glitches
that is pretty odd i wonder what ps 1 bettila would sound like under that type of glitch
Re: Rayman Glitches
This isn't anything brilliant, but I thought I'd share a glitch I got in Rayman 3 just a few hours ago. Most of the explanation is in the description, which I'll copypasta here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4gD7PGE ... e=youtu.be
I encountered a really odd Rayman glitch whilst playing in the Land of the Livid Dead. Upon minimizing the game to open Fraps and take a screenshot, I re-opened the game and encountered this glitch.
Glitches:
Occasionally flickering from visible to invisible
Completely unable to move
2x still on-screen, even when the circle has been depleted/Rayman isn't powered up
Rayman changes from Metal Fist to Normal when he's thrown onto the floor
Anyone else had this?

Re: Rayman Glitches
In the same level, one part back (where you first encounter a Hoodoo) the game once got stuck in "cinematic mode". The black bars at the top and bottom of the screen you see in cutscenes didn't go away after the Hoodoo introduction, and I could move but not jump or shoot. I think. My controls were definitely hindered and I had to restart that part.
...granted, I was using Cheat Engine to hack around in the game... it probably can't happen when you play the game normally.

Re: Rayman Glitches
...holy cow! That must be a new Hoodlum invention - an ultra-powered up stainless waterproof heavy duty quantum permanent Laser Washing Powder Can!
It's been in development by Andréture Science for years. It is rumoured to allow you to shoot heavy metal fists forever! And your fists now behave like R2-style shots. In rapidfire mode. And they explode on impact. Setting fire to the environment. While healing you. It also creates portals.
Hoodlums are so dumb this is probably their first proper invention since Rayman 3 was released. Too bad they are too dumb to use it - only Rayman can take advantage of it.
Why do Hoodlums carry power-ups around that can only be used by Rayman? It's almost as if they want you to defeat them...

Re: Rayman Glitches
With a can of that size, a Heavy Metal Fist will:
1 - Last for an entire day or more
2 - A charged fist can destroy a building

Re: Rayman Glitches
[Player Command] :
Rayman takes the can.
Rayman charges his fist.
Rayman destroys The Tower Of The Leptys.
Happy End GG glitches.
Now you only have 8 worlds in your R3 version

Re: Rayman Glitches
The interesting thing about that is the way the model is distorted, it almost looks as if it's rigged. Either that, or the engine actually has the ability to modify meshes in real time. If that's the case, then I must reminisce about how nice it was to have a simpler, more dynamic engine at your fingertips.
