Re: Rayman Legends
A mindblowing discovery, no?
Anyway, back to the usual dead thread 'til the challenge mode arrives.

Re: Rayman Legends
Does anyone remember this screenshot? With the lighting and atmosphere, it quite reminds me of The Canopy from Rayman 2.
Re: Rayman Legends
I actually haven't seen that screenshot before! Where did you find it?
Re: Rayman Legends
I think it was part of an old batch of screenshots they released shortly after Gamescom 2012. It recently just reappeared on a news page talking about the New 30 levels that RL will have.Minor-T5 wrote:I actually haven't seen that screenshot before! Where did you find it?

I admit I never saw it before either.

Re: Rayman Legends
I must confess I love the atmosphere in Rayman Legends. At this point, I think it is better than every Rayman game tries to be its own thing, instead of just feeding us with stuff that we have seen before. I mean, it's easy to put things that we recognize to appeal the fanbase instead of coming up with brand new ideas. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, MARIO

Even changing the Magician's appearance and role was kind of a risky move... but in some way... it worked.
Rayman 1 had the challenge, Rayman 2 had the adventure, Rayman 3 had the action, Rayman Origins had the humour and Legends... woah, with so much to do, so much to imagine...The online will be a big part of the experience, the 80/90 levels will be a blast and the new landscape is just gorgeous. I can't tell what it's gonna be.
I just hope the ending is good... for me, every Rayman game had a god awful ending... well, maybe except for Rayman 2, but it still was kind of a... you know...cheesy ending...

Re: Rayman Legends
Personally, I'm liking the greater "scope" of Legends, it seems that the atmosphere that RO was lacking in has made a return, and levels do seem to be more expansive.
That being said, I'm torn over the more traditional "legendary" areas, like that Greek level.

You are inspired, aren't you?
Re: Rayman Legends
Ah yes, here is one of the webpages, it claims the shot was released on the 16th of November last year. I guess I didn't remember correctly.

It also has the screenshot in much higher quality.

I concur. If there was only one word that could be used to describe each game, those would be them.Minor-T5 wrote:That was...well said.Rayman 1 had the challenge, Rayman 2 had the adventure, Rayman 3 had the action, Rayman Origins had the humour and Legends... woah, with so much to do, so much to imagine...The online will be a big part of the experience, the 80/90 levels will be a blast and the new landscape is just gorgeous. Eh... dude....Rulez wrote:And just as good as it is to know that you don't confuse irony and sarcasm.Haruka wrote:Good to know you can distinguish irony.
In this case, the expression was conveyed through irony, so... Haruka wasn't wrong at all.Wikipedia wrote:Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter gibe or taunt",usually conveyed through irony or understatement.
