Re: Rayman Legends
It was originally bundled in a M6 Multimedia re-release of Rayman 2: The Great Escape for PC in France, but I believe there were more ways where this figure was distributed. I got mine for 5€ by winning an auction in ebay.co.uk around 2 years ago.Earth Gwee wrote:Found this on a Rayman fan page. You are lucky to have it. Isearched eBay and I could not find it. BTW Good news for all of you who don't have Rayman Revolution Japanese. I bought it on eBay, and when it arrives, I will upload ISO.Haruka wrote:It was originally bundled in a M6 Multimedia re-release of Rayman 2: The Great Escape for PC in France, but I believe there were more ways where this figure was distributed. Re: Rayman Legends
RayBlue bought a copy once and shared to us his ISO, aswell a scan of the manual, with unique artwork like the depicting of the destruction of the Heart of the World. Thanks for offering to upload it again since I believe the links are dead.
Re: Rayman Legends
Yes, the links are dead. I can confirm it. I will be happy to share my link here once game arrive. Sadly I don't have a scaner so I cannot scan artwork, but I am sure you can upload artwork again if it is removed since that does not requiere fast connection and it does not have alot of megabytes. Also I can say that I am close obtaining ISO of Dreamcast Version. I contacted one person who promised me ISO in private, but I will most likely share it here.Haruka wrote:RayBlue bought a copy once and shared to us his ISO, aswell a scan of the manual, with unique artwork like the depicting of the destruction of the Heart of the World. Re: Rayman Legends
It would be awesome if you could do a 300dpi scan of the full boxart of the game.

Re: Rayman Legends
When I do it, it says "Fauché" (presumably meaning 'broke' in French) - is this a language setting I've accidentally flipped in my options?Master4lyf1 wrote:Hover over it, and you'll see the words "broke," this refers to the negative ting count, anyone can get this rank.
So amidst all this arguing and ranting, why not discuss Legends:
- Who's your favourite character?
- What world do you anticipate most?
- What do you think of the artstyle change Origins>Legends?
Re: Rayman Legends
- I can't decide who's my favourite character, since there's been so little description of them in Legends. Come on, I need to know more about their personality and backstory!
- The Jules Verne inspired underwater world where you gotta be stealthy.
- It's okay. Though I kind of liked the cel-shaded style of Origins being blended with a painterly world. I think I've said this before. It reminds me of 2D Disney movies.

My favourite character is Rayman of course
I am anticipating Online, and I am hoping I will get a chance to play with you guys
I liked Origins Style better I must admit.
And I will add another question that others should answer:
[*]Why did you choose PS3/XBOX 360/Wii U/ Version for preorder?
I will give my answer first. I choosed PS3 version because Thats the only console I can go online with. My XBOX 360 is JTAGGED so I can't go online, and I don't have Wii U. I also choosed PS3 Version because Most of my Rayman games are on Sony console. As for Wii U, I really don't like it. I like Classic Nintendo way more then Modern one. No disrespect to anyone who likes it.

Re: Rayman Legends
[*] Difficult question. Every character has a very interesting design. The Grand Minimus' colour scheme is amazing in this game, but also Globolk looks really cool.Shrooblord wrote: So amidst all this arguing and ranting, why not discuss Legends:

The Magician has a great evil look on his face, and his silly evil laugh was hilarious, but I still can't name him my favorite. Murfy is cute at his best, the way how he yells at Rayman to wake him up,how he slaps the gang, the happy noises that he makes while he flies... UUUH, his active, caring and joyful personality here is a lot better than his personality in Rayman 3, I love that little green bastard. Rayman also has been improved... he still looks like he suffers from anxiety when he's standing still, but he's no longer depicted as an idiot, just a badass hero. Sure, he still sleeps a lot, but it's something that we were going through since Rayman 1.
Again, I can't still choose my favourite character. In terms of design I'm probably going for the Tarrayzan-like guy. He looks awesome too, and that hoodie made from a dead animal is a nice touch.
[*] People are gonna hate me for this one. The Rabbids level.
Sure, Rabbids ruined Rayman for a while, but they came up as a quite interesting (and accidental) project. The initial presentation of RRR was great and full of action instead of cheap party games, and I had a similar feeling when I saw them in the Rayman Legends footage. I don't want them as part of the story, but just as part of an extra level. I want to see what Michel Ancel can do to restore what he wanted to do in RRR a.k.a "Alternative Rayman 4". I still have hopes, because we all know that it is likely that the level was scrapped.
[*] It's a very positive change. The original is a cute allegory to 90's cartoons. The artstyle was pretty, and the character design was quite ingenious.
This one is a lot better, because it appeals to anyone. Those who said that Rayman Origins looked like a flash game can't complain now, because the lack of outlines gives a more three dimentional and clean feel. The ilumination, the improved background design, the colours, everything is better, even the music. Also, have you seen those new enemies? the enemies in Rayman Origins were designed to look goofy and clumsy. In Rayman Legends they are giant evil musculous monsters and ugly creatures. It's awesome.
*Wii U... because Rayman Legends was supposed to appear in that console first. At least I got some exclusive features, and AC Barbara still looks kinda cool.OldClassicGamer wrote: [*]Why did you choose PS3/XBOX 360/Wii U/ Version for preorder?
Re: Rayman Legends
I am actually looking forward to that as well. Not as much as online mode, but I do want to see Rabbids level. I see that level as a chance to finally get something close to what was supossed to happen on Wii in 2006.sergiomonty wrote:Shrooblord wrote:[*] People are gonna hate me for this one. And I just noticed that, similar to most older cartoons, the backgrounds are immensely detailed and beautiful while the characters are just there, slightly sticking out even.sergiomonty wrote: The original is a cute allegory to 90's cartoons.

I liked that aspect of it, but - although it took me a while to get used to (tin can Globox lol) - I think Legends' artstyle has vastly improved over Origins'.Rulez wrote:And I just noticed that, similar to most older cartoons, the backgrounds are immensely detailed and beautiful while the characters are just there, slightly sticking out even.sergiomonty wrote: The original is a cute allegory to 90's cartoons.
Good one! Now I'm not too sure whether I really can say anything, since I've been shunning most content as to avoid massive overspoilerage, but I really, really enjoyed the Splinter Cell Rayman's appearance. Something just works for me with that one.sergiomonty wrote:

I once played a Rabbids game on the DS I really enjoyed; it was a platforming game that - I think - didn't even involve minigames. That was a pretty nice game to play, but I couldn't for the life of me tell you its name.sergiomonty wrote:

I'm interested in hearing the music when I have the game. Origins was full of tracks that surprised me (positively!) and got me all a-swingin', sometimes. I still listed to my OST CD occassionally (damn you, Héral, for stealing my song at Track 30).sergiomonty wrote:

Re: Rayman Legends
Maybe, just maybe it was the very first Rayman Raving Rabbids? Unless it's from the Rabbids series.Shrooblord wrote:I once played a Rabbids game on the DS I really enjoyed; it was a platforming game that - I think - didn't even involve minigames. Re: Rayman Legends
I can confirm it is the very first Rayman Raving Rabbids. GBA, Symbian, and DS versions were Platformers, while console versions were Mini-Games. Rabbids Go Home on DS and Travel in Time on 3DS were also Platformers.Rulez wrote:Maybe, just maybe it was the very first Rayman Raving Rabbids? Yeah I see the French words too. Is there a way to fix this?Shrooblord wrote:When I do it, it says "Fauché" (presumably meaning 'broke' in French) - is this a language setting I've accidentally flipped in my options?Master4lyf1 wrote:Hover over it, and you'll see the words "broke," this refers to the negative ting count, anyone can get this rank.
There is no "right" or "wrong" here. OK, if they make a really cool Rabbids level, if they throw out all the toilet humour and other crap, if it's only a single extra level like you said... then I don't mind. The prospect of fighting Rabbids doesn't really excite me. It's kinda... meh. Do you have a link to a video or something of that original concept? If I see it I might understand your eagerness to see original Rabbids... right now I have no idea what it would be like.Rulez wrote:Some probably are, just because you're right and they're wrong, lol.sergiomonty wrote: [*] People are gonna hate me for this one. - Who's your favourite character?
I have no idea. When I get but when I get Legends, I will probably play with the default Rayman skin most of the time... I do have a least favourite character - Barbara. - What world do you anticipate most?
That Day of the Dead world with the Marachi Madness level is new and exciting. The underwater base is cool too. - What do you think of the artstyle change Origins>Legends?
I liked Origins' artstyle a lot. Many people take one look at Legends and immediately say "oh that's so much better than Origins", but I'm not so sure. I like Legends' artstyle too... which one is better? I don't know, I'll have to wait till release before I can answer that. - Why did you choose PS3/XBOX 360/Wii U/ Version for preorder?
A flawed question, because it assumes everyone preordered the game. I did not. But if I had to choose one based on the extra costume you would get... I'd go for that Splinter Cell one.
Re: Rayman Legends
Finally I found someone who does not like her as well. It would be better if Ly was playable instead of her. No disrespect to people who like Barbara.Robotic Teensie wrote:I do have a least favourite character - Barbara.[/list]
