The opening would probably heavily amuse my much younger self. However, at the time of playing, well, I guess I might have chuckled or grinned, but I wouldn't say it was as hilarious to the extent you seem to be implying.

I remember laughing out loud during the opening of Rayman Origins. It was ingenious in it's simplicity. For OCG, that's gonna happen. If you don't own the challenges app, you don't seem to have seen the (possible) intro of the game.

Here is it, it's the exact same thing, but as I said before, Murfy makes it a lot cuter:

Also, the story seems a lot more simple, bad guys appeared and you must kick some butts, that's it, it's not as weirdly told as Rayman Origins.

That was amazing, but for intro of retail full game, they must make that monsters got angry because of sonrig and that they fight eachother.

If it was the EXACT EXACT same thing, it wouldn't be funny at all.

i honestly DON'T think that will be the entire intro for the game! where does polokus come in? how do they find the tent? there very likely will be a bigger intro!

Yeah. I think they are defenetly gonna add more. They should explain in intro why is all this happening.

*happening.
I'm not sure, I'd hope they'd try to not go the straightforward route Origins went, but seeing how it wasn't much of an issue, and that to many, story isn't of much significance when it comes to platformers, they could very well just carry on doing so.

I'll be getting it too, though I think I'll be much more critical than I was last time, given that we're now in the Post-Origins era, and Rayman hasn't been languishing in the void for the last few years.

I still think that one day Rayman will have confusing timeline like Zelda :P

I doubt it, so far, barring a few complications, the timeline is pretty straightforward.

Meh, games that have more complex stories, such as the Metroid series, have managed to keep their timelines in order without major problems (ok, maybe excluding Other M, disregarding that, all the instalments fit together extremely well), and seeing how Origins has retconned most of the continuity problems, and the fact we’re going for simplistic stories now, I think we can maintain a clear cut timeline.

Eh... no. It's not going to happen. Even when Rayman Origins was a prequel, it was entirely defined that it would be before the events of Rayman 1. Rayman has never been confusing in terms of chronology. Some weird contradictions? maybe, but never a weird chronology.

Timeline isn't even important here. All the games basically have been about some new threat on the Glade, which Rayman must defeat. So if they were all put together in one story, it would just be Rayman first resting, then Mr. Dark attacks, Rayman defeats him, Rayman gets to rest again, Razorbeard attacks, Rayman defeats him, Rayman gets to rest again, Hoodlums attack, Rayman defeats them and then rests again for a while and the cycle will probably continue forever and ever.

i'm going to have to go with sergio and master on this one... it COULD happen, but with the storylines in the most recent additions, it doesn't really even seem the team is pointing to that in the future!

As quoted by Michel Ancel just a week ago:
“In a way, it’s a bit like a porno: you go straight to the essential without really wondering why the plumber was there in the first place.”
They seem to be going for a simpler story, but I wouldn't doubt if there was much better intro for the game. I don't even think Teensies in Trouble will be the first level.

i find it a bit odd that he would refer it to that... :| oh well though! it's not the MOST important thing! the music, graphics, and design are! and at least the storyline hasn't been repeated for the past 20 years like with mario! :P
