Still, the fact of the matter is that Sony doesn't give a shit about you or your feelings. Neither does Microsoft, Nintendo, Apple, or any other major company. Fanboys who think otherwise annoy me. They should grow old and cynical like me asap!

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Not yet, but I'm DL-ing it once again on Romstation to see if it's the file related to it which is corrupted or my computer which had some issues with the previous one. It's almost finished, will edit in 20 minutes.
If that doesn't work, I will give a try to Emuparadise
.
EDIT : that definitely doesn't work. Fuk that. Will warn Romstation for this.

It's fun because you're basically saying Sony is more of a cashwhore than Microsoft. Sorry, but I have to agree with Keane. In defense of our currency and the actual value of the industry, it only takes common sense to hate the Xbox One. Neither Masterchief or Kinect 2 can save Microsoft from this hole.Adsolution wrote:Hardly. It's not about "feelings". It's about being satisfied with a product, and being heard as a consumer is important for the success of a product. Otherwise, Sony could just follow Microsoft's ridiculous policies for the sake of money. Or Nintendo wouldn't have announced Megaman, a very requested character by fans, to Smash Bros.Tobbe wrote:Still, the fact of the matter is that Sony doesn't give a shit about you or your feelings. Been playing Saints Row: The Third. It's a ridiculous and good game, I can say I am not far from pre-ordering Saints Row IV. GTA just less sense and more craziness. I love it.

This involves more parties than just the consumer. What about the developer, and technology in general?sergiomonty wrote:It's about being satisfied with a product

- a clear jab at the fewer exclusives.sergiomonty wrote:Neither Masterchief or Kinect 2
The fact that the Xbox systems have fewer exclusives in comparison to the PlayStation systems is because Sony enjoys paying developers to make their games exclusive. Most developers would not willingly do this, as the PlayStation3 has proven to be much more of a bother to programme for than the Xbox 360.
Where's your proof? As consoles themselves, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One I believe are both great, aimed at doing slightly different things. In fact, both consoles harm different groups in different ways: The PlaySations' tendency to pay so many developers to create exclusives for their console harms developer, whereas the Xbox's new tendency to include DRM and disc-locking harms the consumers. Both are quite bad, but the XOne's is debatably worse. However, in my view, the goal of the Xbox One (to create an all-purpose media centre) I support more than I do the PlayStation 4's goal of being a more powerful PS3.sergiomonty wrote:In defense of our currency and the actual value of the industry, it only takes common sense to hate the Xbox One.
You don't know enough, and neither does Keane, to agree with anyone. Smarten up and stop being such a bigoted wanker. Your words grow from your own enraged emotion, and you fail to realise the nearly equal faults of your own taken 'side.'sergiomonty wrote:Sorry, but I have to agree with Keane.

I personally couldn't care less for all-purpose media centre. I buy console to play games and not for other stuff that XOne showed to be capable of, but I do respect your opinion on XOne. Also paying developers to create exclusives is not bad at all in my opinion, while Microsoft is harming all the people that cannot afford new games (I myself usually buy used games so I feel very offended by this what is Microsoft doing).

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Nobody is trying to argue that the PS4 is better in terms of hardware of exclusives or whatever the hell. It's not wrong to say that what you get for your money is not much better or worse then the other, but I really doubt anyone who buys an XOne is 100% satisfied with it, but much rather is a big fan of the XBox consoles and decides to simply "put up" with what's wrong about it.
It's pretty obvious that both Nintendo and Sony are much more loyal to consumers. Not in the sense of loving people but releasing things that fans actually want. Nobody was waiting for another Minecraft port or more Kinect games. For all I care XBox One could be a the most powerful thing ever made but that doesn't change the fact that it's not worth the money. I don't see why anyone would want to waste 499 euros (Be honest now: How many people have that money to spend on a console, not even including the games you want for it. Parents probably don't think it's worth it and teenagers don't have that on them either. Only hardcore XBox fans are going to buy it until an eventual price cut brings up sales a bit.) to end up with forced online, paying fees, still having to keep your 360. Hell, if you don't give a damn about the TV options then your probably paying about 100 euros more for something you don't even use. The only affordable price is in the US for 499$, and even then I would wait for a price cut. And is all that money + all that shit really worth it just to play another Halo failing to live up to the originals and Killer Instinct where you have to, once more, pay motherfucking money for a roster?
I think I can handle Sony paying for exclusives and Nintendo being a bit behind in graphical abilities.

Personally, I'd be offended by more than what simply affects me. You could say that I'm offended by what both companies are doing, even if one doesn't directly intrude on me going about my entertainment.OldClassicGamer wrote:while Microsoft is harming all the people that cannot afford new games (I myself usually buy used games so I feel very offended by this what is Microsoft doing).
How is it even an opinion whether it's bad or not? It's the act of prevention and taking for one's own selfish gain, at the deprecation of art and global experience. Clearly there isn't anything positive about that, so are you telling me that that is absolutely in no way worse or more unethical than allowing the art to be shared on all platforms, for everyone to experience? It harms the developer to; the more bribed they are by said paying company, the more control said paying company has over them, allowing for an eventual buy-out. It's a ruthless act of profit while simultaneously hurting the competition. Of course, it isn't all about fair play, but we're talking about a company here that puts a lot of people out of a job.OldClassicGamer wrote:Also paying developers to create exclusives is not bad at all in my opinion
Don't think that this is my way of saying 'your company is a dick and mine isn't,' because I'm not sided. All your companies are dicks, deal with it, and the reason I'm arguing against Sony right now is because many of you seem to believe they're doing nothing wrong, especially in comparison to what Microsoft is doing with the Xbox One.
You don't own the mind of everyone on this planet, that isn't for you to say.Keane wrote:but I really doubt anyone who buys an XOne is 100% satisfied with it, but much rather is a big fan of the XBox consoles and decides to simply "put up" with what's wrong about it.
Heheh, no. It's not integrious, it's simply what they believe will make the most money. Clearly more people with buy it if they drop Mega Man in the new Smash Brothers, so that's why he's there. Maybe there's a bit of "this is a genuinely good idea" thrown in there, but not for the most part, and that certainly isn't the deciding factor.Keane wrote:It's pretty obvious that both Nintendo and Sony are much more loyal to consumers.

So essentially, another argument amounting to "This is bad because [insert preference here]"? I'm not arguing that the current marketing scheme for the Xbox One is horrendous, but no one wants to hear another puerile rant on the same thing that's been ranted about by millions every hour of every day since it's been showcased, especially when it, once again, includes countless fallacies and false facts. It's useless, really.
---
When it comes to my personal beliefs, I've grown a strong detestment for Sony however, given their multiple failed scandals that have occurred in the past, a notable example being their 2007-2009 audio CD DRM scandal. Did you know that Sony placed rootkits inside all of their distributed audio CDs which encoded nearly uncircumventible DRM in all files ending with the suffix '$eyes$' by making all of those kinds of files invisible? When this was found out, hackers easily took advantage of this by creating malware ending in '$eyes$,' rendering your OS completely, one-hundred percent defenseless. Did Sony care? No, they only cared about ensuring they sell as many audio CDs as possible. There's a lot more where that came from too.
Does that provide me with a bias though? No, it's simply a factor to take into account, and the lot of you seem to not care one way or the other what the intention behind a product is, so long as it provides you with the entertainment you think you deserve. Clearly, they can't be doing anything wrong if it satisfies most people, right? Clearly?
Re: What games are you currently playing?
But it would be logical to imagine that nobody was waiting for a console with the many limitations that the XOne has.Adsolution wrote:You don't own the mind of everyone on this planet, that isn't for you to say.
That's what I mean. Release what people want, and not what nobody is waiting for. It's a win win situation. Mega Man is a marketing strategy but I don't care because it's something I want.Adsolution wrote:Heheh, no. It's not integrious, it's simply what they believe will make the most money. Yes, exactly that. That's why so few people want the console.Adsolution wrote:So essentially, another argument amounting to "This is bad because [insert preference here]"? What false facts? Is it a false fact that you have to pay fees? That their trying to get more money out of the 360? So far all I've heard from people defending the console is that it's good because it's powerful and it has Halo on it.
Of course they are. All companies care mostly about how to best market products. But, if a company is doing it in a way that me, the consumer, isn't aware of it, then I don't care. Blatantly putting fees in front of me and saying I have to pay money if I want to go over to a friend's house and play a game is when I care. I think it's important for a company to hide the fact that they're trying to manipulate us into becoming loyal to their console. The average Nintendo fan will quickly shove aside excellent PlayStation games and defend Nintendo when they are cash cowing with another New Super Mario Bros. because Nintendo has managed to win over this person with their titles and this has made the person believe that all shooter games are bad because they are shooters and are probably all CoD clones. Because of this mindset, is goes beyond the person that the game is the result of them deciding that NSMB is easy to make and will make more Mario fans ask their parents to get buy them a Wii U for christmas. Are they aware of it? No. Are they happy with it? Yes. Are people aware Microsoft is trying to suck the money out of us? Yes. Are they happy with it? No. If Microsoft has made their reveal be mostly game related, done away with all the dumb no backwards compatibility shit, and not obviously ask for our money with things like Killer Instinct, then XBox One would a console that many are excited for and will be buying on the release date even if the price is high. But no, they didn't do that.Adsolution wrote:When it comes to my personal beliefs, I've grown a strong detestment for Sony however, given their multiple failed scandals that have occurred in the past, a notable example being their 2007-2009 audio CD DRM scandal. Your recent overuse of the word 'logic' seems to have gotten the better of you, because the things you claim to be logical do not in any way represent or demonstrate any kind of logic.Keane wrote:But it would be logical to imagine that nobody was waiting for a console with the many limitations that the XOne has.
Moreso fallacies. You continue to state your personal feelings toward the console as if they encapsulate the entire belief of the human population. Excuse me for skimming something that has been said countless times; continuously saying the same thing but worded slightly differently doesn't make it more or less true, so stop doing it.Keane wrote:What false facts?

Look on the web. Look at the YouTube comments. Look fucking anywhere. Where do you see people not saying what I'm saying? It's opinion, but it's an opinion that's being stated by pretty much every single person whose seen the XBox One. People have made up their mind about this console and no matter how you want to argue against it, right or wrong, it's not going to stop this system from selling poorly. I'm not really sure what idea or concept I and everyone is not understanding. I'm being told that what I think about the XOne is wrong, but not what makes it wrong. Tell me, why is it worth the money?
And I don't see how it's selfish. Should I not buy a product because there might possibly be a marketing scheme behind it that I don't know of? I'm not someone trying to find out what all the wrongdoings behind something is. Entertainment is and will always be 100% made to suck us in and get our money. The best way to fully avoid being fucked over by a company would be not buy consoles and games at all.

I don't necessarily even disagree with this opinion, but since you choose to use it as a supposedly objective basis of an argument, I have no choice but to start throwing Latin phrases at you, regardless of how much I really hate doing that.
Also, on an unrelated note, you've made almost every possible grammatical mistake one can make within just your last two posts. You wrote "your" instead of "you're", you wrote "their" instead of "they're", you wrote "their" instead of "there", you wrote "it's" instead of "its", and you wrote "whose" instead of "who's".
It's not selfish, it's ignorant, lazy and selfish. It proves you both do not know and have no desire to learn the benefits and cons of the products you show an interest in other than those that immediately affect you. You're a part of this world, and every decision you make is a part of a collaboration consisting of every decision every individual has made, and that collaboration alone is what determines the fate of our future. Be aware, don't sit back like another sack of crap and take whatever's thrown at you, and only what lands within arms' reach at that.Keane wrote:And I don't see how it's selfish. My point is that this opinion is one of many and that it will keep the system from selling well. Maybe you're right, maybe the XOne is not worse then a Wii U or PS4, but they failed to show us that this is trueAdsolution wrote:Argumentum ad Numerum.Keane wrote:Look on the web. Why shouldn't I? If there is nothing that affects me that I know of, why should I take the time to find out if there is something that does? And then what? I know Sony is not a company trying to give gamers a console that they put such loyal care into. No. They even used the XBox to market the PS4 as superior with their game sharing video. But if I buy a PS4 right now I will know and I will not care because I still enjoy using it. Same goes for XBox, only it keeps reminding me with its limits. I'm basically handing myself over to companies, yes, but honestly I don't think my preferences for video games is going to have much of an influence on my life.Adsolution wrote:It's not selfish, it's ignorant, lazy and selfish. I should probably leave now and not get involved in trying to rationalise with irrational postings and posters alike. Then again, I'll always remember that there's irrationality to rationalise, so I won't be able to resist. Please, someone put a magnum up to my jaw and let my brains soar freely through the open air.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Your not making anymore sense to me. Your simply telling me I'm not understanding but also not telling me what I am supposed to understand.
I'm extremely simpleminded when it comes to games. I'm the last person to care much about companies and developers and how the whole business works, even when I know they're not here just to please me. I play games to have a good time and then I move on, so when I see two consoles, and I hear one comes with things I don't like, I pick the other. I'm not going to think about anything else. Call me an idiot, but that's just how far my interest for such subjects goes.
