Re: Rayman Legends
@Sergio Cool new bits of information. I'm curious about the mysterious sixth world now. At the same time, I am happy to know that the levels in RL will be less linear than in RO. This is starting to heat up.
Re: Rayman Legends
6th world screams for Mr. Dark. I really hope it's true. Mr. Dark is my favourite Rayman Villain. I if he is in RL that we get to know him better.
Re: Rayman Legends
Kung Foot will be playable online with friends, that's right ?
Re: Rayman Legends
Yes.
Re: Rayman Legends
Ok, because I thought it was just an offline multiplayer game.

OCG, be careful with the single-worded posts next time.

Re: Rayman Legends
While I can agree that nothing will be able to beat Rayman 2 in terms of story, that doesn't seem like what they're aiming for at all with Rayman Legends, and you know what? That's a good thing. It's still better than the 84 bazillion times Princess Peach has been kidnapped.Raven_Guardian wrote:Barbara Legends will probably be more fun than Rayman 2 in term of gameplay. But in term of story and atmosphere, sorry I prefere lots more the epic quest of the hero for the creator of the universe and fighting against the robotic invaders no matter how cliché it was, than Rayman and his friends wandering through randoms levels slapping each others. This isn't nostalgia.
So you say the N64 Rainbow Road sucked but what do you think about the very original RR in SMK?
Shut the fuck up about it being "Barbara" Legends. They are advertising the fact that they have a new character, is that such a big problem? It's not like you'll be forced to play as her for most of the game, you can play through the entire game as Rayman, or Globox, or even Dark Rayman. Going by your logic this game could also be called Globox Legends, or even Teensie Legends. It's not worth complaining about.
Re: Rayman Legends
Ok, sorry about that. It will never happen again.Haruka wrote:OCG, be careful with the single-worded posts next time.

Re: Rayman Legends
Barbara is only one of the many warrior princess in the game. So there absolutely no reason why she takes more screentime than then others. Especialy when she rescues the title character. I'm complaining but I loved the cutscene. It's just that the devellopers really like her.
Re: Rayman Legends
Will Nymphs be in Rayman Legends?
Re: Rayman Legends
It doesn't look like it. But you never know.
Re: Rayman Legends
I still hope for that they at least make cameo.

Re: Rayman Legends
I also think there are people that are whining too much about the Barbara factor. It is just a character, for god's sake.
Re: Rayman Legends
Well, they said Rayman Legends will support Online so I don't see why wouldn't Kung Foot be playable online.sergiomonty wrote:It hasn't even been confirmed.OldClassicGamer wrote:Yes.

Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah, I really don't understand why people are so bothered by Barbara. Some people say they don't like her, but no one seems to have given a real reason why. At least, from what I've seen. I do understand that Ly hasn't made an appearance in any of the games since probably the GBA version of Raving Rabbids, and people are expressing how much they miss her. Nostalgia certainly plays a factor in that, but I get this vibe that people seem to think Barbara is replacing Ly. She's not, guys. And here's another thing, and I've said this sometime before: Ubisoft is not playing up to people's nostalgia except for a few scant things.Haruka wrote:I also think there are people that are whining too much about the Barbara factor. As for people thinking Barbara is now the focus of Rayman Legends, I really agree with Bionichute. So, I want to add to that by saying: she is not the focus of the game. She has so far been the focus in only very few trailers. The CG trailer, for instance, is supposed to create more hype for the game and because she's a new face to the franchise. It's not like they're shoving her image in your face. Besides, she's a little barbarian princess who swings an axe around, has a missing tooth and curly, red hair, and kicks just as much ass as Rayman. What's not to like about her? Plus she's a female protagonist, which is rare in video games, so be glad they're bringing something fresh to the table.

Re: Rayman Legends
If Rayman was the guy who saved Barbara during that CGI cutscene, he would have to deal with this lady:

Re: Rayman Legends
I highly agree with Earth Gwee. But I also have the feeling people dislike Barbara simply because she's a human. Some Rayman fans seem to dislike the fact of humans interacting with Rayman, since the Glade has absolutly no link with the planet Earth (despite of the second rabbids game).
I may understand that it's weird to see humans in Rayman's world for some people, but hating a character simply because "she doesn't belong" is kinda sad in my opinion. :/ It's what the developpers wanted her to be like, and a game will never be like everybody wants. No matter how hard they try.
