Re: Rayman Legends
When I first saw Barbara I found her a bit weird in Rayman universe but this is because you haven't played a human-like character before in Rayman series. After I found out that with her barbarian style, and the way she's smashing people with her axe are pretty cool.
That being said, Rayman games were indeed lacking of a female character since R2. Ly and Betilla were the only ones who had a big role and presence in a Rayman game. Ubisoft took it in consideration too for RL because still tons of manliness in RO.
Well, even if Barbara is a warrior, I don't mind. She's very funny.

Would be cool to see Barbara's mom/dad. Just out of curiosity, because in Mario series we don't know Peach's dad or mom and we have no explanation as to why a princess rules the country instead of the king or queen. Of course not taking the film as canon.

I think Peach's father was mentionned in the manual of the original nes game. Whatever happened to him next...

Re: Rayman Legends
Humans REALLY aren't going to give the amount of Teensies a run for their money. There are ten Teensies in most levels, and we've seen that there were at least 600 Teensies to save, but with the 120 levels, it's probably even more, and when compared to the 10 or so humans, Teensies are still the main species of the Glade.Haruka wrote:Like Adsolution, I would also feel more disturbed if there were a good number of humans in the Glade, but it isn't like the humans are overpopulating the Teensies so I think everybody needs to deal with the Barbara factor.
That being said, I'm not a big fan of Barbara myself, I just don't think that she's worth complaining about.

She could just well be another one of Polokus/Bubble Dreamer's creations, for all we know.TeensieKing wrote:Would be cool to see Barbara's mom/dad. 120 levels? Wait did I miss something?
Oh, yeah, I hadn't thought of that. They could have been dreamed by Polokus to protect something? That would be cool. Cliché but cool.Master wrote:She could just well be another one of Polokus/Bubble Dreamer's creations, for all we know.TeensieKing wrote:Would be cool to see Barbara's mom/dad. What if he was one of the people who've been turned into bricks that Mario destroyed?Raven_Guardian wrote:I think Peach's father was mentionned in the manual of the original nes game. Whatever happened to him next...
Re: Rayman Legends
Mario has been always known for being a serial killer so I do find that theory possible.

Re: Rayman Legends
Well yes but Damon Albarn and Dominic Howard are humans, and I'm a human. Does this mean I'm their gay lovechild?
(I hope so)

Barbarians used to be in large groups, and since Barbara is the princess of a "group", I thought this could be her group. What I say is just a theory, though.

This might just be me, but when I played as both of them for the demo, I found no difference in their controls.Keane wrote:I'll admit that in terms of controls she's the best out of the four.

Maybe the Glade exists in this kind of sub-world or sub-dimension of Earth, somewhere inside a forest, on the other side of a small pool of water. You just need to jump in to find out...Master wrote:I admit, intially, the idea of having Humans in the Glade was one that I met with heavy resistance, but, as of late, I don't really mind, just as long as no relation or mention of Earth comes into play, I'll be happy.

You've been reading too much Dr. Seuss and Lewis Carroll.Shrooblord wrote:Maybe the Glade exists in this kind of sub-world or sub-dimension of Earth, somewhere inside a forest, on the other side of a small pool of water. No, I'm afraid not - well, it could be, but I don't know it, so I wasn't intentionally referencing it.sergiomonty wrote:BTW, isn't that a reference to Cow and Chicken?
