Right on. I'd never beaten or even gotten very far into Ocarina of Time until about two years ago, yet after playing through it fully, this 'new' experience managed to exhume such a strong sense of wonder that I hadn't felt since my childhood days. I'd never even seen that game's magic until recently, and it had just as much of an affect on me now as it would have back then.

Watched the video, I did not like it to be fair. I do not have anything against the guy who made it, and I respect his opinion, but I disagree with everything he said.

Literally everything? If it isn't so much to ask, can you explain why, or pose an argument against a few of his points as an example? I don't mind hearing opinions like that, as long as they're backed up with decent reasoning.

Let's start from the beginning:
He is talking about music. I think that people are allowed to call certin group Classic if they enjoyed listening it when they were really young. He then says that car needs to be old 30 years to be called classic. While that is true, for music, I think that evert person can call some song classic if they have good memories with it. While I can be ok with his view on music I really started to dislike video ( I did not gave it thumbs down, I simply just knew I was not liking it at all) is when he said that people in 20's cannot be nostalgic for things. Of course we can. Just because we do not have much responsibility, does not mean we cannot be nostalgic for things. And the reason that he gave was because " they did not have to care about sh*t." That is not the main factor why are people nostalgic. He cannot judge that Entertaiment was not better like it is a fact. It is his opinion, but for example, I like 90's products better then todays. Then he said that people in 20's cannot say that movies and music was better when they were younger and said that if they are now under 25 that they did not know Nirvana, and insulted them by saying they listened to Sesame Street. Did he maybe thought about parents playing songs of let's use Nirvana as example. Kid even at early age knows if he likes what he is hearing or not so it is possible to be fan of Band even at age 4. I know I loved to listen to Helmut Lotti for example and X Japan. Finally a part where I agree with him. Those 6 months anniversaries and Reunions are annoying. Things like GameBoy are not forgotten but it still holds place to people's heart and just because it was not made in 90's does not mean that people born in 90's could not have it for example at age 7 and now when they are over 20 they like to remember good times they had with GameBoy, or anything else from 80's they liked. And the rule he said? Well, I was not born in late 90's but I was in 90's, but still? Can't be nostalgic till 2020? Why? Just because we have more to live then we lived in past it is still not good reason for me. And, as for having long dissapointing life, sure I do miss childhood a lot and nothing for me will ever be better then 90's and early 2000's, but I still enjoy life today. Only times when I am nostalgic is when I watch movies, play games or listen music. Other then that I pretty much have a happy life.

Could you explain why the face like that? Kids know what music they like and if parents introduce a band to them why shouldn't it be possible for them to like it?

You don't have a developed music taste as a kid. You hear a sound and think "that sounds nice" and it doesn't go much further then that. 90% of the music I listened to until I turned 12 or so I've either forgotten about or turned out to be absolute garbage. And that 10% that remains is on the bottom of what I like. What did I listen to when I was 4? Fuckin' Sesame Street.

OCG, I'm not one to usually make such requests, but I found it difficult to follow your reasoning, is it possible to split it in a logical, cohesive manner, so that I and others can appreciate and understand your point with ease?

Hmm, I did not know that. Thanks for telling me, and as for spliting ease I will really try to, but I am very bad at giving short reasons for such things:

The main point of it was that he was treating all the people in 20's like a people who are nostalgic only because they did not have anything to do back then, he said many things like they were facts and not opinions. The example was when he said that people from 90's cannot be nostalgic for things in 80's. One of the examples on pictures was gameboy. What if someone got gameboy in 90's and he liked it? He has right to be nostalgic for it. Only 2 things I agree with him was the fact about Car, and reunions and 6 months anniversaries.

I hope this makes it a little more understandable Master. If not, I am very sorry.
