Jak and Daxter
Talk about Jak and Daxter.
Re: Jak and Daxter
I will be talking!
Jak 1 is rly good
Jak 2 is even better
Jak 3 is a rly good situation lets goooooooooo
Never played Daxter or Last Fuck, and I don't want to play half of those.
Actually, now that I think about it, Jak 1 is my favourite, but 2 and 3 are neat too. Oh and Jak X - very nice!!!

Re: Jak and Daxter
Well, I own the Jak HD Trilogy, and it was fun being able to play through them again, thoroughly recommend it if you can't play the PS2 versions, unlike the Ratchet HD collection, the Jak HD trilogy is well done and doesn't make any compromises.
My favourite of the bunch is Jak 3, least, Lost Frontier.
I've played Daxter, and still own it, I'd love to do something with that too, now that I think about it.

Re: Jak and Daxter
I like the main trilogy all equally and X + Daxter are great spin offs too. I really want Jak X to be re-released in HD as I'm unable to play the normal copies and my slim Ps2.Online support would be sweet too since I never got to try it in its prime.
Re: Jak and Daxter
How is the original game? I thought about picking up a copy for PS2 considering it is quite common and cheap here.

Re: Jak and Daxter
The original is a brilliant game, think of it as a mix of Mario 64, Crash Bandicoot with a dabbling of Spyro and a hint of Rayman Revolution, it's a game that looks vibrant and colourful, and still looks good in the HD rerelease.Rayfanboy wrote:How is the original game? Word of advice though, should you then decide to go forward into II and 3, just beware, there's a significant change of tone, one of which isn't liked by everyone, though I loved it.
Re: Jak and Daxter
I like the 3 Jak games. Currently playing the 3rd one. I really enjoy the platforming, but can't say I enjoyed the racing challenges much. Jak 3 has some pretty cool vehicles though.
Haven't tried the Daxter PSP game yet but I'd like to someday.

The racing challenges are ok, not the most spectacular, I must admit, so it's nice there's not too many of 'em.
Anyways, how far are you?

Re: Jak and Daxter
I just finished the mission where you have to go rescue those 4 wastelanders and fight that Dark Eco creature. The Light Eco power looks pretty cool but I didn't understand what it does. Can you tell me more about it?

Re: Jak and Daxter
Right, so you've beaten that satellite and found a crystal, right?
Hm, I can't remember the sequence of events, but I'm assuming you have only one of the light eco powers at the moment, the one which allows you to heal yourself.

Re: Jak and Daxter
Yeah, I got the Dark Eco crystal that lets you turn invisible and the light Eco one where you press L2+square. It's fun playing as Daxter as well. I should really play that Psp game sometime!

Re: Jak and Daxter
I though L2 + Square was the slow time one, and L2 + Triangle was heal.
Meh, I need to play through the trilogy again, I've been spending too much time on the Lost Frontier, that I've forgotten how the best work.
As for Daxter, it takes place just before Daxter rescues Jak in the beginning of Jak II, 'tis a good game, it expands on the Daxter segments that sometimes occur in Jak 3, and works well, as the focus on Daxter's gameplay means the PSP's limitations don't get in the way, unlike the Lost Frontier.
I'm tempted to do what Rayfist did in the Crash thread and note down my thoughts on each game, barring X, seeing as I've not played it much.

Re: Jak and Daxter
I'd like to hear your thoughts on each game Master! Also i just started Jak 2 on Hero mode, never actually beat it on this, so should be interesting and probably frustrating.

Re: Jak and Daxter
I've never gotten enough Precursor Orbs to get to Hero Mode in Jak II, however, it is still a very much alive aspiration.
I love the havoc one can cause when you've gotten enough Precursor Orbs, just sitting back and messing around with invulnerability and unlimited ammo can bring joy.

Re: Jak and Daxter
yeah its the best in Jak 3 in Haven city, all the warring factions to unleash a god like wrath upon
I loved the upgrades to the weapons in Jak 3 and using precursor orbs to upgrade them further was a great idea!

Do it man, I still need to finish Jak 3 on the Vita, I've took a bit of a long break from it.Master wrote:I'm tempted to do what Rayfist did in the Crash thread and note down my thoughts on each game, barring X, seeing as I've not played it much.
Re: Jak and Daxter
Just to tell you guys, I downloaded Japanese Jak and Daxter torrent. Gonna try it out so I can compare it to American version. Sadly Daxter's voice is not that good in Japanese. Sly Cooper Japanese version is best because they let you choose English or Japanese voices. Too bad Jak and Daxter don't.

Why the fuck did I just hear of Dark Daxter

Re: Jak and Daxter
Cause The Lost Frontier exists.
Seriously though, I know many loathe that game, but personally, I don't think it's all that bad, it's not a stellar Jak and Daxter game, but as a game, it's pretty good.
