Yup, t'was a most difficult endeavour for me, but I pulled through, and was extremely happy when I saw the end of it, no need to fear though, many here have beaten the game within more reasonable time, I've yet to touch the game after beating it.

It took me about ten years to beat Rayman 1 too, from when I first tried the game to actually beating Mister Dark, more realistically though, from starting the version of R1 I beat to the beating it was more like 6 months.

The first time I played Rayman 1, when I was three, I beat it in about five months or so. I wasn't aware it took so many so long.

Yeah me too. Just the CD screwed up before I could finish the game. I think I just came up to the blue mountains.

I never remember seeing the Candy Chateau like I remembered seeing all other places in Rayman once I played through it again earlier. I guess I never finished the game when I was younger, but I must have been a lot, lot younger when I played the last level in the game before Candy Chateau (practically beating the game I guess).

I played Rayman 1 for the first time when I was 8. I finished 100% for the first time at my 11.

When I was 7 I managed to get Rayman 1 again from the fleah market but this tine it was the PS1 version. I finished it in 2-3 weeks .

I'm not one for arcade games really, I just stick with Mario Kart Wii and DS.

I actually played Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 a few days ago, I was up at tenpin bowling in Edinburgh, and they had a machine there, I only went for one track though. I also gave time crisis 4 a try because they had that too.
