So if anyone can guess where that quote is from without cheating, then you know perfectly well what good movies are.

The Princess Bride of course. I should watch that movie again, it's been too long.

Rewatched Pocahontas also after many years without seeing it in my VHS player. I still think that its soundtrack is one of the most powerful that Disney ever created.

Escape Plan.
As much as reviewers are criticising this movie I found it to be very solid. There's definitely some cliches but overall the movie is thrilling and excites the whole way through.

I especially enjoyed the musical number "Paint With The Colors of The Wind" which serves as the basis for a large part of the film's score. While as great as the soundtrack for Pocahontas is, the soundtrack for The Lion King remains my favorite Disney soundtrack.Haruka wrote:Rewatched Pocahontas also after many years without seeing it in my VHS player. On another note, I also recently got around to watching After Earth and The Hunger Games. I must say the latter is a far more worth your time. The acting in After Earth is quite rigid and almost every line feels like it is being delivered as an order. Not to mention the little dialog the film contains is not memorable can probably be written down by hand in a around three pages of standard-sized paper. Also, despite being father and son in real life, almost no emotion is exchanged between Will and Jaden Smith. And while I do understand that the civilization that the humans now inhabit is of high order, is there really any reason for no one to show concern for another and speak to each other as if giving an order continuously in every scenario. While there will a few scenes with fair chemistry between the players, they seem to be few and inconsistent. Not to mention the unoriginal plot premise to boot. While the film is not as bad as some reviews have stated it is far from quality cinema. The Hunger games was overall all good, with a few exceptions. To be honest I'm just not really fond of the plot premise to begin with though.

Colours of the Wind is a beautiful song, but I also like a lot the short song of Listen With Your Heart.Disionity wrote:I especially enjoyed the musical number "Paint With The Colors of The Wind" which serves as the basis for a large part of the film's score. I went to the cinema tonight, to watch Prisoners, by Denis Villeneuve.
It was a great movie. Realistic, dark and stressful.
The scenario and the actors were awesome.

Here's something I'm looking forward to:
Re: Movies you just recently watched
Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2.
Not bad. The story wasn't nearly as strong as the first and the message it's trying to teach kids is pretty generic but the movie succeeded in keeping me entertained and had some good laughs. I think what really works for me and why I liked the original so much is that these movies feel like they were made by people who were legitimately caring about what they were making. Sometimes with 3D movies I feel like it's so clear that they didn't really put true effort into it and are just going ahead with cheap laughs and uninteresting characters. I have no doubt that they actually wanted to make something enjoyable and presentable and that's why I'm willing to look past it's flaws.

I recently watched Carrie (1970's version). It didn't scare me that much, but it was really entertaining.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
The Italian Job (Original)
It's loaded with nods to film buffs, and it's music is so spectacularly casual that the action comes off as completely natural. It's a purely fun movie, and succeeds in having character's implied, not slowing down for coming of age nonsense or anything.

Last night, I watched Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos
I have no idea why I havent watched it before (probably because Brotherhood ended perfectly). All I have to say is that it is ok. Not something special but ok. When I compare The Sacred Star of Milos to Conqueror of Shamballa, I have to to say it is by miles better.
Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa sucked big time in my opinion and it was basically a second middle finger to people (the first one being the ending of 2003 which sucked as well). How did they screw the story so bad I have no idea to this day. I know that Manga was not finished so they could not make same ending, but FMA 2003, even before reaching the point of surpassing Manga, made stupid decissions. I mean did they even talk with Hiromu Arakawa before planning how to end 2003 series and making Conqueror of Shamballa? Most of Manga artists know how they will end their series even before near the end of them. Eiichiro Oda has ending of One Piece many years already but is draging the story for obvious reasons (money of course). I know Conqueror of Shamballa got positive score, but I don't like it. The ending was horrible, and the whole concept of "Our" World was just lame for me. The Sacred Star of Milos is on the other hand the movie I can recommend. It does not add to Brotherhood story and as for timeline, you really can't tell before which events it takes place, but thats maybe for best. A regular non-canon spin-off movie is always better than the one that ruines story as a whole.

Captain Phillips is rocking at RT with a score of 94%, and rightfully so. Didn't expect much but this movie surprised me in every way.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
Yesterday, I went to cinema and watched "The Family" (AKA Malavita). Good movie.

I watched "Hunger Games: Catching Fire," and for the most part, it just felt like the first all over again, but with different contexts and outcomes, whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.
