Not sure if I mentioned this here, but my brother says he's getting me the 3DS version of Lost World for Christmas.
So.......stay tuned for that. :I

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I take it back, some of the time attack is pretty fun, though very tricky.
On another note, holy shit guys. Is it me or does it seem like the 3DS version had some more effort put into it? Look at all the unlockables on the 3DS version compared to the Wii U version, they have an extra level on EVERY world (Lost world on wii U only had 2 extra levels, not counting the whole bonus world), something tells me I may enjoy the 3ds version more.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Wait, wait, wait. Did I just hear that? You find the 3DS version feels like it had more effort into it? Did DIMPS just bring back their best?
Holy moly, I look forward to seeing your thoughts on it in full.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Some people are even saying the parkour is easier to maintain/handle in the 3DS version.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Yeah...besides the online multiplayer....
...a lot of people have been hating the 3DS version, and I can sort of see why...
I still want it, to judge for myself (and for the online multiplayer). But I don't really like the look of the levels that are in the later half of the game. Very plodding and non-Sonic. And forcing gyro controls, that when in Special Stages, have been making people dizzy?....Eeeeeh....
The difference between the parkour on Wii U and 3DS is that Wii U's parkour runs on more realistic momentum. 3DS version's parkour allows Sonic to literally run in a straight line along a wall, but he has stamina (represented by the intensity of his sweating).
But hopefully I do enjoy it. Because you are correct about it having more unlockables. Super Sonic, more bonus levels, a hard mode, cutscene viewer, and a sound test, as well as stages for multiplayer. If I like the 3DS version, it will really keep me occupied during my college breaks (though I'll have to leave the Chaos Emeralds for when I'm at home :V).

I feel bad for anyone who has to record the special stages for a let's play.

Hm, seeing as there seems to be broken quotes aplenty, allow me to present the correct structure:
Now, when it works:
Code: Select all

Well, Sonic is now old enough to drink, and he has decided to implant alcohol into every single ring.emshomar wrote:Eh, is sonic drunken or what's going on?!Rayman fan2000 wrote:On the topic of Sonic, I'm doing a let's play of Sonic The Hedgehog 1. (Don't worry, I don't talk...)

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Hm, been watching Clement's reviews, he prefers the Wii U version to the 3DS, Lost World is one split pie indeed.
