Rayman Hoodlum's Revenge strange copy?

I've find on ebay.uk a strange copy of Rayman Hoodlum's Revenge. Pratically has the European front cover with PEGI rating, but the rear side written only in English and the cartridge is different from all the others European and USA releases.

while normally the respective European and American cartridges are this:

and the rear side of European box are written in English, Deutschland, Italian and Francais and only the US release's rear side is written only in English.

Anyone know what happened to this copy? Maybe is not original?

Bootleg for sure. I used to have an NTSC copy and I own a PAL copy so I can confirm.

That Rayman IV is horrible. It says it is Russian on cover, game is actually on German and it is made by Taiwanese company.

I've warned the user who sold it on eBay, explaining the various reasons that make it a bootleg copy and seems was a good and honest person, he listen to me and reply that him will remove soon the auction because doesn't want to sell counterfeit stuff.

He also explained that had bought this copy many years ago and that it would ever have imagined that's not an original copy of RHR, had given him such a good impression to seem original.

If I can afford do you realize that you would be willing to pay for a Rayman Advance counterfeit of fact!? With that money buys an original Rayman title.

Rayman IV is not same as Rayman Advance, it is totally different thing.

Rayman IV uses elements taken directly from other video games. In Stage 2 for example much of the background and foreground elements are taken from the SNES video game Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos, which was previously hacked into a Sonic the Hedgehog pirate for the SNES.

I bought my cart of it from a German eBayer so that I could unravel the mystery of what Rayman IV even was and whether or not it was really Russian or anything, and it turned out to be that. Most people that sell them off on eBay probably bought them from cheapo markets in like Turkey, the Canary Islands and god knows where else or at boot sales in the UK because they're cheaper than the originals and often they don't realise that they're bad quality until they lose their saves.
