Re: The You Game!
< thinks it's basically impossible to go higher in quality than analog. Though the technology behind it is nowadays far outmatched by current HD gen TV sets, there are always conversions between real life imagery and pixels when it comes to digitalising recordings.
Of course, the argument only holds for filmings of real-world areas, not games made digitally from the get-go.

< thinks it's a weird thing to get into because what most people don't realise that it's not just the same load of songs but practicly every genre of song has been made which has the software in it, even reggaeShrooblord wrote:< really enjoys vocaloid, < just realised. < thought it was a few off-and-ons < found, before, but < is convinced now.

Re: The You Game!
CRT TVs make PS1 games look better mainly because their output is so crap in the first place.
It's generally easier to see (or hear) the flaws of something when it is displayed on a higher-quality medium.
Allow < to elaborate. CRT TVs have scanlines over the picture, which, in essence, makes content look as though it has a higher resolution that it really does, as the visible sections of the image appear smaller. They also have a tendency to blur pixels together, again making the image seem smoother.
So it's not really that they're displaying a higher-quality image, but that crap images look less crappy due to the poor image produced by the TV. This is somewhat similar to the dithering trick on the Genesis, which worked on composite due to the lower-quality signal, but was clearly just lines when seen via RGB or on an emulator.

Re: The You Game!
< is liking Shroob's story, but thinks there are a few grammar mistakes that make it somewhat confusing. Mainly, < isn't sure if the tense shifts are intentional.

Re: The You Game!
< would like to know about the tense shifts. The first chapter was, at first, in present tense but later changed to past tense due to stylistic reasons - if < missed a few tenses here and there, <'d like to find and uproot them. Feedback much appreciated!
EDIT:
Oh god the first few sentences, indeed! O-o
Rectified!
EDIT DEUX:
Corrected. The present tense in the bear scene is what <'d call praesens historicum.

< is trying this one on for size, partly motivated by a desire to use rainbow text.
< hopes to rise several more ranks on Record Day anyway.
