They didn't. Ancel freely allowed it. He already expressed huge intrest in Rayman to be in the game so it is very possible that Sakurai had no issues getting permission for trophy. It was also maybe a part of the deal between Nintendo allowing Mario and Luigi skins in RL maybe.sonicbrawler182 wrote:Why would they go through licensing and and all of that jazz just to make him a trophy you can collect?

Ancel said it on Twich that he would love Rayman to be in the game. Why would he have high demands if he was the one requesting Sakurai for Rayman to be in and not the reversed case?Master wrote:Where did you hear of this allowance? I've not heard of any of the details regarding the licensing of Rayman here.

Ubisoft still holds the rights to Rayman. Regardless of Ancel's desire to see him in the game, he'd have to go through the higher ups at Ubisoft to include him in the game in any form.OldClassicGamer wrote:Ancel said it on Twich that he would love Rayman to be in the game.
