My parents have admitted that they don't know what to get me, and I don't have a plan of what to do when we're at our location (Southampton). I guess it might seem fun at the time, but for now it's just kind of lingering over my head. Most of my friends would/had have gone to a strip club, downed a bottle of whiskey and crashed their car. Me, I'm comfortable spending a Saturday night eating Bourbon creams in my pajamas watching Casualty.

Then do that! There's no reason to feel under pressure to do something special for this quite arbitrary milestone.

Also, you get a thumbs up from me for liking Bourbons!

Ask for a lifesize Wallace statue. Really, you should ask for it...

YEAH, BURBON AND IRISH CUFEEEEEEEES!

Oh and btw, even for my 21st birthday I didn't do a thing. I guess I don't give a damn about my birthday right now, but I still enjoy it. I mean, if people makes me something, it's always nice. If they don't, wishing me a happy birthday is more than enough. The rest I don't really mind ;p.

On internet, im always wearing a mask. But i think it is a representation of me in real life.

The fact is : nobody really know me im someone else. But im hiding my real nature to keep it under control.
Im full of anger but im hiding it beheind a mask. Im slowly losing my mind. Im falling in an extreme paranoia. Even when im alone im always looking around me for being sure that nobody is in my back ready to kill me.

With all these problems im barely sleeping.

"The mask we are wearing, this a metaphore, a symbol..."

Does it remind you something? In a certain comedy movie about masks...

Ha, The Mask is great!

Incog, have you perhaps considered that the mask you wear because of your paranoia is the exact thing that is fueling that paranoia? The mask hides you from the world, because you are worth hiding, because someone must be out to get you, right? Maybe the mask isn't the solution to your problem, but its root.

So today this happened:
On YouTube, Shrooblord wrote:Actually, English came from Holland. And Italy. And Norway. And from Albion.
On YouTube, Logan Christianson wrote: +Shrooblord "English is primarily a West Germanic language that originated from the Anglo-Frisian dialects, brought to Britain by Germanic invaders and/or settlers from the places which are now called North West Germany and the Netherlands. It uses a vocabulary unlike other European languages of the same era."

Do your fucking research...
On YouTube, Shrooblord wrote:+Logan Christianson Okay, here's my 'fucking research':
Frysians are Dutch people (the so-called Anglo-Frysian dialects came from them); the Latin language, spoken by the Romans, from Italy, have very distinctly set the roots for many many words in the English language.
The Scandinavian people settled in England to become the Celts whose language blended with all of the above to create what we know as English. And Albion is the old word for England. I was stating what I learned (my fucking research) and closed off with a silly joke that only a few people will get by saying that English came from England (Albion).

I did my fucking research. Are you fucking satisfied? :D

PS
And okay, I wasn't exactly 100% correct about the Scandinavians, but making a joke shouldn't result in flaming spears being thrown at my head.

It is, isn't it :D? (Jim Carrey at his best and Diaz so sexy in her early twenties <3).

I actually made a reference here because even if it's a comedy movie, the scene where Stanley Ipkiss talks with the doctor about this thingy he found is very relevant: in the movie, the mask enables Stanley to make his more extroverted side express itself, which he actually chose to contain to be more "in line" with the society.
We could also talk about Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, although it's not exactly the same matter.

What I wanted to tell through this is that you use your mask, because you are afraid of certain part of yourself that you do'nt want to admit or to show to the world. Why would you be hiding? Sure, there are people in this world that are worth hiding frombecause they would hurt you for what you are, but there are also people ready to accept you like what you are.

To sum up in League of Legend-ian:

Veigar and Kassadin are opponents. Veigar just got owned by Kassadin who has 200 more AP. Then Veigar chooses to retreat, farms power, comes back. Now he is the guy with 200 more AP than the other, and he can even throw some of his power right back into his face with his primordial burst.
"You think you have power? You have a limit, I don't. Now, taste your own medicine..."

This is what it looks like (comes out directly, I remembered a fun map I had with a friend of mine back then...). And that was enjoyable to read :D.

YouTube = mainstream.
mainstream = I can choose not to care about what I do because everybody is doing it anyway.
I can choose not to care about what I do because everybody is doing it anyway = I can swear, rant, and flame at will, even if it's not my personality.

Another thing LoL, WoW, YT, and many other things featuring the use of the Internet have in common.
Plus the fact that talking represents less than 10% of the message and the information that a normal human being wants to share in a conversation. Body language doesn't exist here, and words are not said and forgotten in the wind, they are written and freaking eternal. They are heavy as hell and are the unwanted expression of a distorted idea. But that, it seems that many people can't understand it, and even less can seems to have the ability to forgive it.

That's why I avoid most of these conversations/debates on the Internet. There are a few places where you can have constructive debates, and most of them are small forums visited by fourty people at best (like RPC, in fact ;)...).

Take detailed notes. Don't just write "spagettyy" when asked to write down a recipe for it. I learned that the hard way.
And if you don't get the notes down, find the tutor and ask them for help.

As for extracurricular college life, get out and make new friends as much as you can without compromising your study and/or sanity. Now's the time; many say you'll never have any time like it again in your life (though I doubt that's true if you really set your mind to it later in life). Go out and enjoy and become a beautiful young person that we can be happy to share this Earth with! ;D

College isn't that bad. Well it sorta is, I have two 3 hour classes and I have a hard time trying to focus because they're so boring and really only don't learn anything new.

I've found that juggling between drawing in my notebook (while still listening) and taking notes when necessary does wonders for my concentration. I've used this since half a year ago and it's one of my favourite ways to learn now. I keep getting all the input I can from the class itself and I'm constantly training my technique with the pencil. Dooble boof!

Only 3 hour classes? C'mon, you haven't 4 hours classes or even 5/6 hour exams.

i can't really give advices about college, as I did prep schools likem many students in France, and in prep schools you are pretty much working 24/7 usually (or at least if yo uwant to obtain a good engineering school for your own personal abilities. Some people just go "meh", and use only their inner mental abilities without working that much because they don't want to work hard). But Shrooblord gave a good resume: work for your diploma(s) as much as try to discover tons of thigns not related to your future job or your studies.

That's the main idea, yes!

Okay so I'm getting real annoyed with how Dutch people act towards each other. They can't even give you a friendly hello or a leisurely smile, and when you greet them, they look away like you're not worth their time. I'm not talking about random people on the street here - they're actually pretty alright - no, unfortunately, I speak of people from my study. I've known all of them for a year now and suddenly they start acting like I'm below them simply because I'm being friendly. Well excuse me, but screw that for a bunch of bananas!

What are you studying? Perhaps the subject itself induces antisocial-ness among students :P

Life Science & Technology, basically biology of the cells. I guess Dutch scientists are asses...? But I know that is false.

Anyway, it's only really that select group of people and about half of everyone on the street.
The other half is foreign and therefore friendly.
