Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Sounds like they're really expanding this game!

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I'm interested to see what retro tracks they're bringing in. And considering that another eight tracks will be added, I'm starting to think that MK9 will just have 32 new tracks. If that's the case, then I'm really hoping to see Rock Rock Mountain, DK's Snowboard Cross and Mushroom City, although that one is probably unlikely seeing as there's already Toad's Turnpike.
I'm pretty sure the bottom left track is based on Excitebike.sonicbrawler182 wrote:

Yeah, that's not likely to happen.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Yeah, just heard about it myself. So, Ninty's essentially outed the DSi to the 3DS' DS. I like it, though the colourful buttons, while flashy, aren't for me. I guess I'm a little dull like that.
That being said, having looked at some comments, I see there's some backlash, given that this model is going to have some exclusivity to it due to being more powerful in specs. That's a fair point.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
That Japanese Direct was great. One of the best Directs they've ever had.
The new 3DS models won't be coming to Europe until next year though.
Also:

Shulk confirmed for Smash, and it matches up with the leak. So that leak was real!

The YouTube tag works by only pasting the video ID between the tags, "GUl1EkUJ46k" in this case.
I'll check out the trailer when I get back.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I was going to upgrade to the XL by buying the Limited Edition Smash Bros XL, but that's changed.
Instead, I'll just buy Smash 3DS physically, and when the Smash Edition of the new 3DS XL model comes out, I will buy that and sell my physical. Or, I will buy the Rosalina cover plate they showed off, that installs a Rosalina theme on the new 3DS dashboard.

Also, Master, the colors of the Buttons are nice! They remind me of the PAL controller for the SNES.

I didn't say they weren't nice, I merely stated they're not my thing, is all.

I didn't mean it like that! I worded my statement wrong.Master wrote:I didn't say they weren't nice, I merely stated they're not my thing, is all.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
TBH I didn't enjoy the reveal or the new 3ds. Seeing Shulk makes me so mad that people have to leak content onto the Internet, and it just destroys the concept of having these awesome trailers in the first place. It makes me think that this trailer is going to be the last one until near the reveal; It wouldn't be the first time Sakurai responded to people doing things on the Internet he didn't like.
As for the new 3DS, I do not have the money to go buy a 3rd one, and I see no current reason to purchase one, unless they decide to discontinue making games compatible with the standard models

The new 3DS is going to have exclusive games, as the CPU is better and it has more buttons and an extra stick. The Xenoblade Chronicles port is one of them.dartofthedavros wrote:TBH I didn't enjoy the reveal or the new 3ds. EDIT: Apparently the Japanese eShop updated with Smash Bros, and it has a screenshot of what is likely the game's starting roster:

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I can't see that picture, it forces me to make account.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
There was already confusion among the general consumer regarding compatibility with DS/ 3DS games, as well as Wii and Wii U games; now with exclusive games for a new 3DS system, this will more than likely generate even more confusion!
I still have my original 3DS and never made the jump to XL, so this is something which I will definitely consider upgrading to.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Holy crap imagine how this new 3DS will perform with heavy framerate games like MGS3. Also are you fucking kidding me? I just bought a 3DS XL ;_;
Though holy crap, $160 is really cheap for a new handheld so I'll look into this.
Also Xenoblade Chronicles on the go? COUNT ME THE FUCK IN!

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I just hope they come up with a better name for the West.
3DS/3DS XL Mk.II is what I would call it.
