The Grolgoth is about as high as a...1.5-storey building. The Crow's Nest is maybe...ten or fifteen times bigger than the Grolgoth? And the Crow's Nest isn't even visible when viewed from a distance great enough to see the entire Prison Ship.

It is several miles long, wide and high.

I'm sure it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say the Prison Ship is about the size of Ireland.

I would say it is about size of Lolland, the most lol'led island in Europe.

Considering that the diameter of the Crow's Nest is probably one kilometre, and that the entire ship is probably one hundred times as big as the Crow's Nest, I figure the length of the ship must be about one hundred kilometres. Why do you think it's so much smaller, spiral?

What? The crows nest couldn't be a kilometre across. If I've calculated correctly, It would take 2 whole minutes to run 1km, and that's running at 30km/h.

I suppose you're right, it doesn't take two minutes to reach the other side of the Crow's Nest. Someone should check it out :P

I really don't think it's a kilometre in diameter...maybe a hundred or a hundred and fifty...

And if it was the size of Ireland, its explosion and subsequent landing in the sea would have caused a tsunami large enough to eradicate all life from the planet.

Well, the Crow's Nest is invisible when the whole ship is in view, so the ship would probably be around 500 times the diametre of the mast.

It isn't as big as Ireland. Just...no.

Maybe Wales.

By the way, you do know that even the size of the Isle of Wight would cause a humungous tsunami, right? Certainly large enough to disturb at least part of the planet. And here 'disturb' is a synonym for 'obliterate'.

...further proving that the Prison Ship is not as big as Ireland. :pfff:

I was just saying that its size (regardless of whether it is 10km or 100km) would instigate a colossal tsunami, so either way its crash landing would ground such destruction.

Unless of course it crashed into the land and not the sea :P

It did fall into the sea.

Did it? Oh.

But then, perhaps during the explosion the ship was divided into thousands of pieces, thus no mass wave could be produced at all!

If you look at the explosion, it seems that there are several large pieces, not thousands of tiny ones. You may be on to something, though.

It doesn't prove anything. The explosion of the ship is all but realistic from a scientific point of view, so, what can you expect from its consequences?
Anyway, the best we can do is calculate the diameter of the Crow's Nest (supposing Rayman can run at 25 km/h) and multiply it by the proportionality factor (100, 500, I don't know).

Well, it's not likely that we'll ever know how big it was, so this topic is kind of useless if that's what we're trying to find out...

No, but we can find an order of magnitude.
