Can you connect controllers to a iPhone? :O
Btw, the game has the black-background cutscenes from the PC version as well :D

Edit: It has the first phase of Bongo Hills which was removed from the GBA and DSi port. I hope they add the Rayman Designer levels in some update as that shouldn't be to hard as this is an exact port of the PC version.

Edit again: It seems to actually have the PS1 exclusive soundtrack as well! That means it's the PC version with PS1 music which is great as that was like the only downside with the PC version (except for not having the nicer effects the PS1 version had etc.), though the sound effects stay the same :(

Edit once again: Things found:
- The magicians theme did not play in the bonus level in Bongo Hills
- The save points are not available as the game saves automatically
- There are leaderboards for beating the levels as fast as possible
- The intro is the NTSC version

Edit again and again:
I tried the challenge mode and while I started with 0 lives I could still get more... I'm a bit confused now what the whole point is with that mode :?

How come you have borders on the top and bottom? Are you using an iPad?
For me the leaderboard/achievement button works fine

Edit: Here's the official trailer as seen in the App Store: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hICLhuqolyY

Also, in the trailer it's written at end Copyright 2015 ubisoft, why not 2016?

Dunno, maybe it was meant to be released last year? It says on App Store it was released last year, so maybe it was in soft launch or something or it was just a developer version

I'm finding the virtual controls quite hard to master, it often happens that my thumb just goes too far or that I can't get Rayman to stop exactly where I want. But I understand it's hard to do any better with a touchscreen!

My honest view on this:

Rayman Classic on iOS definitely one of the worst ports Ubisoft did with any Rayman game. Some people out there criticise Rayman Adventures but no. Let me tell you people, this is the thing that deserves criticism and not Rayman Adventures. First of all, making it iOS exclusive is the dumbest decission ever. Ubisoft should learn from Sega when they remade Sonic CD. It was on iOS but also on Android, PC, PS3, Xbox 360
Rayman Classic is not even on Android and so far there seem no plans for it (unlike for Rayman Adventures where it was known it will be released but with delay, here we know nothing).
Second, the game is listed to be compatibile with iOS 7 which actually gave me hope I can play it on my iPhone 4 but no. Game hangs on Ubisoft logo screen. Now I must be honest, when we look at Ubisoft's port history (Rayman DS, Rayman 3D, Rayman 3 HD), we can see they are not that good and that all those ports have some serious flaws but this port takes a cake. Can't even start game. Which is shame because this version has many achivements and leaderboards.
Ubisoft, bring this on Android, PC and consoles so all fans can enjoy. We all know what happened with Rayman 2 iOS version. That never came on Android either and in the end was removed from store. I hope I don't sound too harsh but I must be honest because I want Ubisoft to improve and fix issues.

It's definitely not the worst that Ubi made. Many ports got fucked up such as Rayman 3D & Rayman DS. This one is pretty good, contains leaderboards and achievements. And don't cry about it being iOS, I remind it again: Rayman Adventures was first released on iOS then Android. It'll probably be on Android aswell later. And yeah, it's listed to be compatible on iOS 7, it works fine on my iPad 2 which is on 7.0.4

It might work on iPad 2 but it fails to work on iPhone 4. If they say it is iOS 7 compatible, they should make sure that all iOS 7 devices can run the game. iPhone 4 ran DOS emulator pretty decent so there is no excuse why this should not work on it. I want it to be patched.

How can you say this without having played it at all? I understand it can be very frustrating that it was only released for iOS, but come on, the iPhone 4 is almost six years old, and with the changes Apple bring to each new release you can't reasonably expect developers to support every version.

After a few levels played, I find this Rayman 1 version quite good. The only thing that ruins the gameplay is that sometimes, the virtual joystick moves down, making Rayman crawling.

I'm pretty sure it will be on Android soon. It seems to be a version of Rayman 1 rebuilt using the same game engine as award-winning titles such as "Chubby Kings - Penguins", "Rabbids Appisodes" and "Assassin's Creed: Pirates", which all made it to Android as far as I know. That was the good news. The bad news is that although it is rebuilt using a newer engine, most of the game files (except for the videos and the music) are compressed or encrypted, and there doesn't seem to be any known way to decompress/decrypt them, so it's not really worth looking at modding it at the moment.

I have yet to comment on this news : no interest whatsoever. Typical Ubisoft trying to milk cash.
